What's your quickest time...

...for switching out track wheels and brake pads on your F8X? Time taken from jacking car up to final torque. Solo job, no help.

My latest was 31 minutes. It felt faster, but I guess time flies when you're having fun. I think I have low to mid 20 minute time in me if I had a stronger impact wrench that could break the bolts loose on its own.

My best was ~22minutes on my E92 on a morning I showed up a bit late for an event, so I was little pressed . What helped on that swap is that my street pads were brand new and my track pads were half worn, so I didn't waste any time having to push the pistons back in. I got the car ready in less than 30 minutes including unpacking. I ended up being all sweaty before the first session even started .

Does it count if you're lazy and only change the wheels? I find the sound of these pagids just delightful in traffic.

18 mins if tools are out and ready to go. 997 Porsche street car. Manual tools with torque. Pads+ wheels.
I don't think I could squeeze out another min. I've done that about 100x now.
I actually time it. Also was once a professional mechanic.

The bigger question is how long does it take you to clean your car after a good track weekend. I can't seem to get it properly complete in less than 3 hours

CL hubs?

"Properly" clean, LOL? I usually don't get to that until the off season.

No, regular 5 bolt.

FYI: Porsche street race car center locks are a total PIA. Many folks dump them as their first mod.

My cup car is a single center bolt per wheel and it has built in air jacks!
We never tried a full team on wheel change, but let's just say a few seconds.....
Oddly enough, the pads on the street car are much easier to swap out vs the race car.
