I know the suspension/wheel god Topjimmy is putting this set up so I trust anything that dude is putting on his car is top quality/well researched 🤌🏼 Looking forward to getting the plate soon.

Sorry for the delay bro...

So before I had the work done, my rear bushing was cracked, therefore I would hear a muted "clunk" when accelerating or decelerating vigorously. Even light driving the clunk could be sometimes heard. Again, it was a "muted" or "soft" clunk, albeit loud enough to make it noticeable.

Since day one, the tranny has always been sorta clunky and loud, but still somewhat muted. I could hear the whine of the gears with the windows up. All of these noises were expected considering the nature of this car. It was louder than my M240ix, but not in any way obnoxious or an issue.

After the install I was pleasantly surprised. I had a serious fear of a crap ton more noise as I had read here about folks UN-installing these bushings due to noise. But, as with all forums, the spectrum of people tolerance for "#becauseracecar" noises when they mod are so variable, I did my best to read between the lines and took the chance.

The noise from the driveline is now more clear, and less muted. It isn't necessarily any louder. If I have my stereo on or the windows down, I don't even notice it. The muted "clunk" of the gear clash is no longer muted, and higher pitch. I can hear the pinion gear unload and load as I push on the gas, let off the gas or brake. The tranny whine is just a tad bit louder. Keep in mind my car is box stock, and running software from 2014. So the tranny is still very clunky.

TLR Its like pulling out your fingers from ear when listening to some jazz. Or turning the treble down below the base on your stereo. Its like the cymbals are clearer, and you can hear the crisp pluck of the guitar.

I hope that makes sense. If you need more, I'd be happy to try and elaborate more.

Cheers!

Does anyone have a dual mount carrier that they would be willing to sell? I’ve been waiting since October..

I emailed kmp drivetrain today to see if they would be willing to sell just the carrier since I plan on using the BMW poly bushings. Waiting to hear from them.

Hey bro I talked to Jordan Rktunes and he said that he will have a lot of them in 1-2 week. I ordered mine in October too and they keep changing the arrival date if Jordan gets them in the next 2 weeks I'll cancel my other order and get it from Jordan

I waited since late September…and gave up this week after it was pushed back again. I did the 5 poly bushings, so not adding #6 shouldn't matter too much (I hope).

KMP is $945 converted from Euros.
Schirmer is $1,355.

What bushings from power flex did you end up going with? Race or street

Powerflex Street (purple) is the right way to go. These were also on backorder when I needed them. I let Billy from BMB install his poly bushings, so I'll probably get some NVH.

It's okay...becauseracecar!

To be honest, I have not tried to listen for that and don't know how the diff whine sounds. I'm sorry

Well if you don't notice it then that's a good sign! If it was bad, you would certainly hear it when accelerating.

I have the Turner dual diff plate and the purple powerflex bushings. No new nvh! This is the best mod with no downsides if you use the purple bushings.

Dct cars may hear a slight clunk on throttle application. MT cars have no issue.

Yeah looks like the shipping ETA is 1/20 base on the site. I hope I don't regret going ahead and ordering based on some of the wait times y'all have had.

I need to start going through and doing some driveline work to compensate for the power i'm making now.
