If you are interested in replacing that upper splitter, I can confirm that the RW Carbon GTS upper splitter is an exact match for the stock one. Mine came today - it has the 6 threaded holes for the lower splitter and the 2x2 weave is the same as stock.

My stock splitter was cracked in multiple places, and I had an OEM replacement, but I wanted to save the OEM one for the next owner. So I picked up the RW one and it looks great!

Only $760 + shipping.
does RW make a replacement lower lip as well?

I know fall Line does but it's very expensive for a painted piece of plastic IMO.

Does anyone know BMW part number for the acid orange lower lip?

I just bought mine about a month ago with 5100 miles, BMW warranty is good until 8 November, I just extended it until 84 months (GOLFFRR on this forum was who I contacted). Since car is still on warranty now is the time as should be a done deal.

BMW tried to deny extended on mine due to the fact the car didn't have an oil change for 18 months (didn't need one, was not being driven!)

Christine (warranty person at the shop) was persistent and turned out OK, got extended. Aftermarket is cheaper but I'm OK with that.

My orange splitter lip has some cosmetic dings, nothing deeper than the paint, cost of doing business...

My water injection was not working but previous owner unaware of the problem, has been fixed and now seems to work fine (I wasn't sure at first but now I am).
I was eyeballing the car you ended up with a little while back. It looks like you got a great car! How were you able to surmise that the water injection system wasn't working? Did you just notice that it didn't seem to be using water?

I hope you don't mind, I'm going to PM you sometime soon to talk more about your extended warranty process.
I was doing some reading on this forum and several people were commenting on how the iDrive horsepower meter did not seem to be reaching 500 or so. Also the previous owner of the car said he never had to put water in and I think he drove it over 1000 miles. Although he said he did not drive very fast.

Anyhow, I was driving the car pretty hard for a weekend, definitely lots of full throttle second gear redline and noticed the horsepower meter was reaching just under 450 which is what happens when the water is not working the ECU reverts to the tune of the M4 CS, It's that way by design.

So brought it into the shop to get oil change, change back to sport cup 2 (previous owner put Super Sport after nail puncture of the original cup 2 set) and when they scanned it had the code 124015 water injection, working area: pressure too low, see picture. Remedy is to replace the water injection valve block and Fine stone filter with the new parts and reprogram the ECU.

I believe they make a carbon version of both splitters and sell them together for like $1300.

One of these numbers is the part number for the oem acid orange lower splitter, I'm sure! Lol

Super interesting

So how can you get the whole front GTS setup? Buy the RW Replica and then add the flat thing from Fall Line to connect to it?
Yeah. You can get away with that, probably. The left, right and center supports attach to the frame rails. They're cheap to replace from BMW and if the mounting holes aren't in the support structure a hole and a few rivnuts would get the job done, most likely.

RW sells both. IND makes a plastic replica that won't get destroyed though.

The RW upper splitter GTS replica has everything to connect to the factory brackets. It's a 100% replica.

I'm (independently) working on a replica lower splitter made out of orange King ColorBoard HDPE. No ETA though as the parts are not easy to sketch up.

Can you share link? I have the IND lower already, but I’d like to get the upper for track duty to save both OEM pieces.

Cheapest I could find new from a reputable seller is $3400. RW Carbon is $760. So you can buy 4+ RW replicas for the track and save your nice one for resale.

There is a seller in Latvia with a new OEM one listed for $2800, but that's a bit sketchy for my taste. I've learned this week that Paypal + eBay is not great either.

This forum blocks the link. Just literally Google: "RW Carbon GTS Upper Splitter" and it is the first result (for F80 and F82). Discount code is RWsave5 to get 5% off.

I've always thought that the GTS splitter is too narrow.

It's so that you can actually drive the car on the street. By making it narrower, it allows you to cut sideways over speed bumps, driveway entrances, and other obstacles and achieve a much better approach angle.

Having driven several cars with full width splitters, they are practically unusable anywhere but the track. And even then, aggressive curbs will tear them up.

This makes sense.

It's what allows me to get in and out of my driveway which has a bit of a lip at the curb.

Car is aging beautifully, especially in alpine white, but I might be bias.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. What do you think an appropriate price is for this car? I'm not in the market for this car myself, but I'll pass it along to my dealership.
