Yeah NGL the total package peaked with 991.2 IMO. The rear end is amazing on 992, but as a total package 991.2 beats it out. Not that I would say no to a 992 lol. I do wish they kept the GT3 fascia, not the biggest fan of whatever the new lower valance is supposed to be, but it looks fine when it’s blacked out

Well eventually you get to see the brilliant design in all its glory like in these pics. There is just no words on how bad the whole design is not just the grills. |

992 is the superior car in terms of engineering, performance and the engine sounds even better. BTW i love how 992 GT3 looks as well! Still hoping i can get one. |

I'm not gonna forum-quote this poor guy to protect the innocent, but:
I honestly did not expect to see the green lines leading to the garage once I placed her (backing in direction) in front of my bay. I thought that the lines meant she'd recognized it as a spot, I let off the brake, and she began to slowly move back$4k. This kinda thing is just beginning (i'm assuming you have all figured out what actually happened) |

When you look at pictures I thought the rear of the 992 was VERY busy...there is a lot going on and seems overly complicated, but in person...it just works....I love it...the Cylon bar works as well. The aerodynamic efficiency of the swan neck makes it look all the better. However the rear of the 991.2 works great as well for me because of its simplicity. I guess like the song says "Love the one you're with"! These however were absolutely fantastic, my favorite car there. And they turn, well. CanAutM3..."You have chosen....Wisely"...

5K, obviously refundable. Literally a lottery ticket. And I'm not someone who has purchased multiple Porsches in the past, but even a lot of those guys are getting passed up by first time buyers willing to pay the ADM - loyalty at a lot of dealers has gone out the window. Honestly in a couple years there will be low mileage 992s out there with no ADM, maybe some depreciation (not much if any) and CPO warranty better than the original warranty.
And with BMW putting out this car with those grills it was easy to switch. And now that I've experienced the engineering and attention to even the smallest details Porsche puts into their cars, I'm not going back. I always thought that was just what every Porsche owner said to justify their purchase, but it is real, and it is worth the "upcharge". Also drove a Taycan (of course it was a turbo S - launch makes you giggle) and they hit it out of the park with the interior and handling, give me hope for the future of EVs.

(1.) He drives by his garage and the "P" for self-park lights up (2.) He keeps going and the "P" disappears (3.) He puts it in reverse and turns the wheel - the green guidance lines show up coincidentally pointing right into his space (4.) He thinks the guidance lines are self-park, so he takes his hands off the wheel & foot off the brake and lets 'er rip (5.) The auto transmission goes into creep mode and actually backs into his space! But in the process he shears off his side mirror amongst other damage. I hate to blame Elon Musk for this, but the fail here is thinking the car just drives itself whenever. Overall my position on Tesla-Full-Self-Driving-Elon-very-bad-man is the pilot is always responsible for the craft, bbuuutttt .... obviously between level 2 & level 5 we're going to have some expensive and possibly dangerous accidents from people who don't understand the tech. Side note: I'm acquainted with Google's pre-Waymo work wwwaayyyy back in 2012/13. Back then their Level 4 stuff worked awesome and could easily drive you around the Bay Area with no interventions ... but at the time they used rando employees to do the testing (not trained drivers) and it turns out that humans - as soon as they think anything is automated - just completely disconnect mentally, and ... there were issues ... so GOOG set a rule of trained drivers only. Side Side Note: Ford's BlueCruise & GM's SuperCruise use "geo-fencing", i.e., they've actually mapped freeways and on those freeways you can drive hands free; unlike, say, BMW which doesn't use Geo-Fencing, but then requires you to keep your hands on the wheel (both have cameras to watch your eyes). BMW is likely going to completely revamp their system with "motorway assistant" (from Bosch?) for reasons unknown and Ford (and maybe GM) are adding Intel/Mobileye's Road Experience Management to do better mapping but also add functionality on non-mapped roads. Of the two system types i prefer the Ford/GM stuff despite it working on fewer roads (e.g., on the west coast not north 101, but yes on 5) since baby-sitting ADAS in many cases isn't any more relaxing than just driving yourself. ----------------------------- 3 months ago i woulda said who cares, i don't even use cruise control but ... after using BMW's new ADAS stuff i gotta say I've changed my tune; it's pretty useful. I still don't use it a lot, but enough where i'd say it's a core feature in a luxury car. Stop & go traffic and long highway drives, it's pretty fuckin awesome.
