Rear Diff leak

My M4 now has just under 40k miles. Ive owned it since new and its driven pretty much like any M4 would be driven. I had the first MOT done a few weeks ago, which also happened to be the last day of the warranty.
Anyone else had a diff leak issue?

Surely you’d of been invited for a end of warranty check?

With my local dealer? They offered to do a service and MOT for me, no mention of an end of warranty check that I recall, but I have been mad busy recently so i'll give them the benefit of the doubt. Just this once. I won't be using the same dealership ever again for anything as they just aren't up to a standard that I could deal with. I bought my last 3 M4's from there too!!!

Car all sorted now but it wasn't easy!

They should contact you with an invite for the end of warranty check. To be fair to them (BMW) have never missed doing this with any of our cars, past & present.
Even last year in lockdown where warranties were extended, they got it right.

would you use a dealership whose technicians test drive a car after removal and replacement and don't notice it banging away when driving?
It wasn't a knocking you could miss. Even the service guy who worked at the desk noticed it straight away when i brought it back and said go try this and tell me what you think.

So, says a lot about the skills and abilities of a so-called supposed bmw tech. And that was after they gave me the car back with a failed rear light, which had been working when i dropped the car off, and they sent me home in a loan car, after id gone to pick up the supposedly ready car, and then sat for 3 hours waiting for a decision on their plan to sort it all out.

No I wouldn't mate. Appalling service by the sounds of it. Extremely poor when they can't get the basics right.

It was Grimsby Marshall. I won't be using them again.
