I agree with both of you. I doubt any lasting agreement will come out of this (the longest of long shots), but if it does, it will be truly be a great achievement. No matter how unorthodox the methods were to get there.

A very big IF and wait and see. It cracks me up the Trump humpers are already giving a ton of credit to him when they haven't even set up a meeting yet.

Exactly. We're nowhere near any kind of a deal. But I'll give the guy credit if he can pull something off. I think a lot of other people will also.

How would doing anything with the media help with Kim?

On the other hand it would DEFINITELY help get Stormy off the front page... And it should be noted Stormy could hilariously take down his presidency if it's proven he violated campaign finance law... And it sure looks like he did!

Plus it's gotta be a brutal ongoing humiliation for Melania and Baron.

Trump's great at the media but he doesn't have a strategic bone in his body, so I doubt he's got a master plan, or any plan, about anything including NK.

The legal question is whether the $130,000 payment to Daniels constituted an in-kind campaign contribution which would be a violation of federal campaign law. (and another $150,000 payment to a Playboy model for the same thing.)

Where Trump is in trouble is:

In a statement last month, [Trump's personal attorney] said he used his "personal funds to facilitate a payment" to Clifford..."Neither the Trump Organization nor the Trump campaign was a party to the transaction with Ms. Clifford, and neither reimbursed me for the payment, either directly or indirectly," Cohen said in that statement.

But UH OH! (see below) Here's an email where Cohen responded, not from his personal account, but from a "trumporg.com" account ... which wouldn't be bad if he hadn't THEN forwarded it to his gmail account and then told Stormy's attorney the money is ready. So he processes the payment with his trumporg account then forwards to gmail for communication to Stormy? Hmmmm.... not looking good Mr Attorney ....

So what?

Well now there's enough doubt that banking records are legit being requested ... and what if those records show that the account was a Trump related account? (Trump actually disclosed an account at that bank) And that the payment, in combination with the restraining order, was to shut Stormy up for the election? (the affair took place 10 years prior so why else do this now?)

Well then that WOULD be an in-kind campaign contribution which WOULD violate campaign finance law.

Whatever other legal problems Trump might have, I'd say this is #1 right now.

BTWs, the funniest thing about the whole Stormy Daniels thing is how it got started ...

All along it's been highly fishy that Trump's attorney suddenly and for no reason paid Stormy $130,000 of his own money in 2016

Well then last month Trump's attorney obtained a restraining order against Daniels from an "emergency arbitrator" (<- THIS IS IMPORTANT - see below) even though Daniels hadn't said a word / had fully complied with the non-disclosure!

This really pissed off Stormy. Guys, let's all learn a lesson here: DO NOT PISS OFF YOUR PORNSTAR MISTRESS.

Anyway, it gets better!

So:

(1.) Stormy is PISSED that she's suddenly hit with a restraining order for no reason, so she ignores it, starts talking, and

(2.) Stormy sues for "declaratory relief" from the 2016 agreement Which has the effect of letting the cat out the bag because it has all of the details of the 2016 payment and her affair

(3.) Stormy argues that the 2016 settlement is invalid both because Trump never signed it "so he could later, if need be, publicly disavow any knowledge of the Hush Agreement", and because Cohen violated the confidentiality of the agreement by acknowledging it in February.

But now it gets REALLY good!

So all along Trump has denied the affair and any knowledge of the pay-out ... well Sarah Sanders is getting grilled by reporters on the 2016 agreement / payout and she says:

"I can share that the arbitration was won in the President's favor,"

wait. WHAT???

Sarah just admitted:

(1.) The nondisclosure agreement exists
(2.) It directly involves the President, i.e., he had the affair
(3.) That the President has been trying to shut-up Stormy!

He definitely gets credit for the jobs... Critics would say, point to the economic policy that did this, or cite 100 years of history showing Presidents don't make a difference. I think those are both valid points.

However in this case, I think one can point to fact that business spending was sitting on the sidelines waiting for events to tell them to button up or expand.

Trump's cabinet's deregulation provided that no-new-regulations sign to invest. The tax cuts helped a little, but not the money, mostly just that there's a business friendly President and Congress.

So, no not luck, legit policy that led to business investing.

Now the question is whether Trump will fuck it all up with a trade war... I guarantee you'll see a jobs pull down in the next cycle because these tariffs have spooked the shit out of business

Yeah, I never had those since I learned to hug my friends when I was about 28, and before living in the states a stranger coming near me would've meant me saying sorry for bunching him. I'm so fucking closed off I've managed to have two one night stands (okay, so the second lasted for five months but I stopped listening to him in 15 minutes do it counts!) in my life and then there are the three relationships which have seriously killed my single time (from 14- 35 and counting).


But my favorite text from my uni days, I still have it saved I'd from one of my bestie who texted me.
