That droopy rear-end (like all newer MB cars) and weird roof just spoil it for me. I've got no bias against MB cars, but this one just looks odd. I'd take the sedan.

Both cars are great! It's very hard to choose the winner here! M4's front end is just my thing. The rest I like pretty much equally.

I like it... a lot.
Funny how it seems that while the C63(S) sedan looks quite similar to it's non AMG brother, the coupe is definitely differentiated. I'm a fan!

Like to see it is not only getting the 285's, but rear wheels are also 10.5 in wide.
The C63 Black Series got 285's, but they still ran on little 9.5 in wide wheels. Quote:

I've driven the new AMG GT S at the Circuit of the Americas and the transmission in that car was one of the best DCTs I've ever experienced. It is robust and lightning fast. Race mode was insane. The W205 C63 doesn't have the DCT for packaging reasons (i.e., the DCT would not fit properly; that 4.0L biturbo motor is really shoehorned in there). That said, the newest iteration of the MCT in the W205 platform is much improved. I've experienced the new MCT in the W205 and it is quite a bit sharper/much more responsive in full M mode. You can stack commands as well. Even in my '13 C63, the MCT is absolutely fine with respect to the automatic programs (C, S, S+). '08-'11 C63s had true automatic transmissions with torque converters. Once you get into S+, you're getting 100 millisecond shifts with the W204 variant. It's in full M mode where the old MCT can stumble sometimes (particularly downshifts; upshifts with the paddles are actually pretty crisp). Is the new MCT as good as the M-DCT? If we're talking full M mode, then the answer is still no. The Getrag-sourced M-DCT is very, very quick. Is the new MCT an improvement over the old one? Yes. The behavioral differences are noticeable. Most importantly, the MCT seems matches up well with the personality of the M177 4.0L biturbo motor. Just like the M-DCT feels right at home in the F8X platform; it pairs well with the 3.0 inline 6.

Wow, so AMG realised they fucked up on the sedan and gave the coupe wider wheels and fenders. Pretty much says, ef you sedan buyers. Would not even consider the sedan now.
This car is going to look really good in real life, even menacing....it does have a slight eggish rear end but after spending a few days with it and taking the car in, forgetting all the weird internet angles, your eyes will make their own assessment and it will look modernish and reflect what MB is trying to do "baby S Class". I like it a lot , but need four doors, but this looks good enough to consider.....just told myself if I ever give up four doors then it's Porsche time. Completely agree and sure this will be the case....people bitching and whining and then when their eyes slam across one at the dealership or in the streets for the first time....Oh Sh$#! Looks badass. |

my two pence worth. The car will have road presence no doubt, it looks like a scaled down s class coup which is no bad thing as I think that's the best looking car merc makes at the moment. however, and this is subjective, the scouple is a gtcoupe and the c63 is a sports coupe, it has road presence but it looks slightly bloated for its purpose, still looks good but I just feel the looks don't match its target audience, performance goals etc, love the interior but I learned the hard way with my last car I don't care how nice an interior a car has, all that matters to me is how it performs. in the uk theres hardly and difference between the m4 and m6 in price, in fact the m6 is somewhat of a bargain after dealer discounts but I still bought the m4 mainly because of the way if performs and the way the exterior is razor sharp and totally in line with the cars purpose. Anyway looking forward to seeing the c63 coupe in person, it will have presence no doubt.

Asking people to leave and go elsewhere who have positive things to say about the competition is childish. I'm a big BMW enthusiast, I've owned several BMW's (and currently DD a 335i), I'm also a huge Audi fan having owned a heavily modified B5 S4 for over a decade. I've never considered purchasing a MB or AMG up until the W205/C205 C63s came out. It's exciting to see more options available in this segment - I personally think this round in this segment is the best and most competitive it's ever been... And that's a good thing regardless of what brand you prefer! |

this is his 3rd? username and he says the same thing every time expecting a different result. same spelling mistakes, same words, same dude. most of us are enthusiasts. he's a fanboy of mb trolling on a bmw forum. over these months he's gotten more and more whacko. just to clarify before he starts calling me a fanboy. cars in addition to bmw's i've owned over the years 2008 acura mdx 2005 infiniti g35 2007 infiniti g35 2010 mb e350 2008 mb c63 2005 audi s4

I'm even enjoying my W205 C63. I have no idea what my next ride will be. Maybe a Saab. But I'll stay a BMW CCA member for life. Good people in my chapter. |
