Been very happy with the recent offerings from Moton and JRZ. Plan on running them again when the MY18 arrives.

I've had experience with PSS10, JRZ RS2 Sport, RS1 Touring, and KW V3.

I definitely have to say that the top 3 contenders, for those looking to improve driving experience and comfort, will be PSS10, RS1 Touring, and KW V3 (in that respective order).

Those set ups are designed specifically for street use with occasional spirited driving (x cross, track day, canyon, etc).

Short Summary:

The PSS10 I would say are the best for comfort and daily commuting.

The RS1 is a solid combination.

KW V3 are a little stiffer than the PSS10 and RS1, and are definitely more focused on those looking for a more performance oriented ride.

Hey guys im bringin this back to life because I have to pull the trigger on coils in the next day or 2 and I cant decide. I have KW clubsports right now that im switching out. I rarely go to the track but I still like a stiff ride for the street. Not as stiff as clubsports however. I really want to go with the pss10s I'm just afraid it will be too soft as many reviews have stated. As long as its stiffer and has more road feel then stock though I will be happy. Also wanted to confirm i can lower it enough to look like this (how i have it now)

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated because I just cant make up my mind

Have you consider Ohlins R&T with with either out of the box rates? And you don't have to worry about the R&T being too soft at all.

Why not just switch to softer springs. Spend $300 and soften it up.

For some reason thats what all the vendors are recommending. Maybe cuz bilsteins seem to be out of stock in most places lol From what I gather the Ohlins are about 900$ more then the Bilsteins and I don't have reason to believe they will be 900$ better for me

one of the struts are blown and I dont want to deal with the repair or future maintenance. I'd rather just get a whole new kit that I like better

Ah got it. Then Ohlins are a good choice depending on how low you want to go. If you are looking to lower over an inch, then probably not. They are by no means soft though.

You mean the Bilstein? I'm not considering ohlins. As for the drop I don't know the exact amount it was dropped from stock that's why I posted a picture for reference. I'm hoping I can get that drop with the bilsteins or I'm prob gonna go V3s

KW V3's ride better than non EDC OEM suspension. Considering the drop and the handling improvement, that's a great thing!

Out of those I would go Bilstein. The have a much better reputation than KW for longevity.

I'm planning to go with the bilsteins the only issue is I still havnt found an answer to whether or not they are def firmer and have less body roll then stock and if I can get the same drop indicated in the photo I posted above

Also they seem to be out of stock everywhere. I'm gonna try ECS if I decide on them as they have best price I just hope there's no backorder

To be perfectly honest with you im not educated enough on coils to know or feel what a twin tube shock would do for me. And I'm not familiar with them. I just need something to drop the car, be stiffer then stock, increase road feel and reduce body roll. And not cause me headaches down the line lol

In general, twin tube shocks will ride better, but not have the performance of a monotube design. Monotubes have a larger piston area and in general are considered higher performance. Most higher end systems are monotube.

For what you are after if it were me I'd go TCK. I had a set (I replaced them with Ohlins because I'm a track rat) but they ride great, can be lowered, and will last a good long time. The base shock is a Koni and they have a lifetime warranty if I remember right. I've seen a fair number of V3 shocks that are blown out and in need of rebuild with not a lot of mileage on them.

How long did your Clubsports last?

The thing is I'm not familiar with them and KW being a bigger more well known company and commonly used system for this car is a safer choice for me. My clubsport strut failed (I can only assume) because of an accident I had a little while back. Somehow it lasted a few thousand more miles after the accident and then failed (again this is me assuming). I had another 2 rebuilt from the accident as well.

Thanks for informing me about the twin tube vs monotube thing though. I think the v3s will be just fine for me now that pss10 isn't an option. I don't see a reason personally to spend more for ohlins
