Spoiler Install.. don't tape over vent holes?
What is with the instructions to not cover the "holes" on the mounting side with 3M tape? For ventilation purposes?? Aren't the holes a byproduct of the CF manufacturing process?
Seems odd.. |

Air trapped inside the CF will expand when it gets hot and cause the piece to bubble or tear.
I learned that the hard way on my old car. |

As I wrote already into another thread to the exact same asked question:
Those holes are caused by production, the blow the ABS plastic hot up into a form and laminate it afterwards with CF wrap. You wont achieve such high temps that the ABS will increase its measures by heat-spreading. As long as this is not a pure CF spoiler, it doesnt matter.
