No it didn't nor the place to put your drinks cover or the latch to open the boot from inside the car as per video's on YouTube

I would also love answers for many of your questions. I have only once got the BMW remote to work on the M4 and it as not worked since, I also have it paired to my X1 which I bought on the same day and its never worked once on that car!!! Where am I going wrong??

Yes the BMW remote app as only worked once..... don't know what I did different to get it to work?

Looks great! Did you figure out the DVD query? How about movies played from USB stick, I experimented with my F30 and managed to play a few different video formats from a USB stick rather than using the DVD player

Mine works fine. The only thing I've not tried is the "precondition".

All I can tell you is that I had to register for this through BMW website:-

This then sent a code to the vehicle that I then put into the website when prompted. I'm assuming you've done that if it worked once? I'd try deleting the app and starting again and only put one car on until you know it's working. Let me know how you get on.

I think I might just "borrow" the net out of my F30, before it goes.

That's provided there is somewhere to attach it. Maybe they've changed the design of the glove box? Or is it just an F83 issue?

Anyone with a F80/F82 got the net?

No, I've not managed to get it to play back dvd's yet. I just figured out why the index of the manual refers me back to page 6 for anything relating to "infotainment" so I now have the BMW Drivers Guide app. I read up about the DVD functionality and can't see why it wouldn't play apart from me not actually choosing the option to "play" the movie. I'll try this again tomorrow. I'm also going to put some music on the hard drive and if that makes a difference to the sound. Currently it sounds like I have no bass speaker. I had the B&O sound system in my A5 and in comparison the HK system in my M4 is really poor. I'm no audiophile, the difference between the two is like night and day.

There are holes for it to plug into on the roof of the glovebox. If you have them you should be okay to fit s net.

ok will try tomorrow and no I did not register via the BMW web site just downloaded the app via I tunes and I think I had to put my VIN number in the app..... but will delete and download again

Don't think you should delete the app then. You just need to register via the link I posted and it'll prompt you for a number that will have been sent to your car as you register. Get that number from your car and input on the website. That should do it I think.

I've found a picture of the part (genuine BMW part number search) and it seems to clearly have the clips for releasing the slats as per the video.

I'm certain that I've read on a few forums of people doing exactly this so I'd be surprised if they are all wrong?

Did the parts guy you asked happen to know you wanted them for an M car by any chance and then offer to sell you the specific ones....

So today I learned: -

2. The BMW booster seat, part no: B82.22.2.165.894 fits the M seats perfectly

I think you're onto something here. I'm searching for a supplier now and during my search I've seen an article on M3cutters with a guy saying he used these parts. I'll keep searching and report back.

Edit: parts ordered and should arrive Thursday.

I deleted the X1 off the app and now it works perfect as I discovered I have to pay £50 for it to work on X1 and at the moment I cant see much need for it.

Do you have Surround-view and Reversing Assist camera, because when I now put car into reverse I only get surround view and not the reversing camera on the screen???

I should have had surround view but no, I don't have it

At a guess though I'd say put the car in reverse and push your idrive wheel to the left to bring up the surround view menu. I bet you'll find an option in there to change the view.
