Back in April I ordered a new M3 CP in SS wanting something discreet after my bling mineral white X6 with black wheels. However, as time went on I realised a few things about my order:
- I should have added the leather dash
- As much as I didn't mind the 666 wheels, the dark 437 looked better on SS
- I would need to invest in some carbon bits to make the car look proper
- I would miss out on the new idrive coming in July, by three weeks

So I cancelled my order and eventually got my deposit back.

As I had already sold my X6, I couldn't wait months for a new order so I decided to try a new C63 S (plenty of stock about) on a 24 hour test drive. Great sound with the switchable exhaust, boring colours, boring wheelarches, boring tips, and boring wheels or all black ones. To top it all, I was waiting outside Olympic Stadium in the blue car and a couple came up to me asking "minicab?"! All this convinced me I needed an individual colour M3 so here we are, got all the bits I originally wanted, plus full leather, Imola Red 2, carbon/black bits included and a nice discount, afterall it's pre-registered.

I know it's not discreet, not a CP and nor does it have the new idrive but I feel good about the whole package. Really excited to have bought a bright-er colour car than usual but I change every year so let's see how we get on...
Wow, that rear diffuser is just mean as hell.

Congrats!

Absolutely awesome mate. Imola Red is one of my favourite BMW colours by far, so much nicer than the ferrari red they've been using recently. imo of course

yeah, that looks the bollox! really great colour and I know these pics don't do the Imola red justice as having seen one in the metal it's a spectacular colour.

good choice mate. are you going to get a rear spoiler? that will make the rear end look even better

I'm in the US monthly so wonder if I should buy one from over there? Is it something dealers keep in stock?
I wouldn't see adding a spoiler as a mod, I see it as a cosmetic necessity to compliment all the other tasteful 'mods' that the previous person has already fitted. im surprised the previous dealer didn't fit one if they went to the expense of the black grills, exhaust tips, diffuser, splitter and front corners...

I suppose you will find a non OEM carbon sploiler a bit cheaper but you might as well stick to BMW performance parts to match the rest you have. most dealers will have one or can get one pretty quick. have a look at Cotswolds BMW on this UK forum who advertise all M Perf parts. they are pretty keen on price. if you got one from the US wouldn't you have to pay for import duty etc?
