Stunning car. Silverstone is subtle but very nice. Enjoy the noise. It's funny how many 335d drivers are going this direction. I will be doing man maths at change time I think. Lol.

Sorry, mixed DazC with dopper99. Clearly, DazC's car is not here yet so can't answer my question!

Yes perhaps 200mpg is a little optimistic for any car, let alone an M3.

Not used the full tank as yet, just below half at the min. Although it only had just over 3/4 of a tank in it when I picked it up.

What mpg are you getting springer?
In the region of 30, I'm still in the run in period of course so if I take it very steady I've seen 35 (very briefly), today did a round trip of 100 miles and it was 27 by the time I got home, had a bit of a blast as you do. I am very happy with the MPG (and a bit surprised) I only venture out a couple of times a week to be honest so no daily commuting for me (perks of working for yourself in IT, I can fix a lot of things remotely), but I have the RIS booked in for next Saturday as that will be me at 1200 miles and then I can give it a bit more revs!

Sounds fab! Very good figures for a 450bhp petrol, even if you are taking it easy......
Of course we don't buy these cars for fuel economy, if we want that, we'd go back to a diesel. But if you can get what you're getting now and again then we wouldn't complain.

Getting 30 or low 30's on a motorway jaunt is excellent in my opinion.

I do a lot of long motorway journeys so this is great for me considering the power on tap.

Yes I should add this is gentle motorway driving (65 to 70), using BP Ultimate, Engine set to Efficient and Transmission set to D1, fairly consistent driving speeds as well.

Around town and short journeys no chance and I'm not sure how long I'll keep that up after the RIS.

It also helps when a police car is following you all the way down the M8, I kid you not, there was myself, traffic police right behind and then every other car on the motorway all doing 70 no-one daring to overtake! I felt like I was leading a convoy! At least I achieved the aim of no-one getting past an M3 even whilst driving efficiently.

Ok, I've picked up my M3 CP today from Tony. Great handover and Tony is pleasure to deal with. Highly recommended!!
And a big thanks to teaston for posting up the "Insane M3 deal....." thread in the first place......

The car is fantastic!!!! Not really pushed it at all and just had a very steady drive back the north Wilts. Just getting to know the car better as there are obviously quite a few differences against the 335d!!

I'll do a much better write-up as I get used to it more but its so nice to be driving a brand new car, and an M3 at that.

One stand out thing I've noticed so far is how good those seats are very supportive indeed and IMO much better than the previous M Sport seats I've had. I've currenting got upper back issues but I've been fine so far in these seats.

I don't think the ride is too bad at all. Yes its a little more bumpier, but not by much at all. Always a good gauge is to ask the missus and she thinks its perfectly fine.

As I say, early days yet so I'll post more in the future, if anyone is interested, but all in all, I'm extremely pleased to have jumped ship to the M car camp.

Sorry the pics are not great, just grabbed a few while outside the dealers.

Looks great !!
You wasn't M25/M1 yesterday mid morning ?

I passed an identical car poodling along and gave a beep and wave
I was in M4 Tanz Blue.

Just noticed another thing missing from the LCI.
In the boot if you lift the cover up there should be a dividing section between the left and right compartments and this is missing so you may want to take it out your old car, for those waiting on theirs.

That pic isnt a F30/F80 (looks like a 1 series) but the boot floor is the same.
