Any ideas on how much this would cost to repair?

would need to see more angles. its definitely gonna need a repaint and blend. hopefully the shop can do a good job at matching the paint. someone can correct but i dont think tanzanite is as hard to match as SS or MW.

the rear fenders are made of steel. i can't tell if whatever scraped you has gouged down that far into the fender though.

Looks like the clearbra took some of the hit- I'm not sure if it punctured the film to go into the paint.

You can try replacing the clear bra, and the top part, you can try a claybar and see if you can take off the excess paint. It may not be perfect, but it would look a whole lot better.

remove the film
compound and polish the area above the film
assess the damage and see if its worth a repaint to you. Unless you repaint the whole panel (Spot paint the damaged area, clear the whole panel to the front and back), a blend is going to stand out like a sore thumb.

What's going to hurt is the damage on the lip of the wheel well after the film ends. Not likely to be able to fix that without some body and paint work.

I got a quote for 750 CAD and the autobody shop said he would repaint the affected area and clear coat the entire rear fender and guaranteed it would look like it came from the factory. Does that sound like a good deal?

sounds about right...750-1000 USD depending on shop, reputation, quality

protect whole car minus rear QTR, remove clear bra film, spot repair area, paint affected area, clear whole panel, color sand and polish whole panel, reapply clear bra film

Yes that's exactly what he said he was going to do. Thanks for your input, appreciate it!
