Can you claybar PPF & Ceramic coat?

Wondering if this will ruin my ceramic coating?

if so what products do you reccomend, Im guessing soft clay and some quick detail spray?

Cheers

Is your Ceramic coating ontop or below the PPF? PPF can be clayed.

Try chemical decontamination first, something like Iron-X which won't risk marring the PPF or removing the ceramic coating. If the chemical decontamination doesn't work on stubborn contaminants, use fine grade clay and lots of ceramic detailing spray as lubricant, working in small areas using light pressure.

as far as I know PPF won't stick to ceramic, meaning it would have to be on top?

Some people apply ceramic under PPF as PPF has its own top coat.

You can ceramic coat your ppf. This is what I used on my ppf

https://www.esotericcarcare.com/kami...ace-film-coat/

Use gyeno prep before apply coating

To OP

You can clay it, it won't remove your ceramic coating. But don't let the claybar sticks on ppf. Very hard to remove

my car has PPF on impact areas, and carbon roof and the entire car is ceramic coated wheels and calipers.

I will try iron decontamination. Where do I buy that?

As far as I know clay bar is actually just used before applying PPF to clean the application surface. You don’t want to claybar ceramic coating directly, but I think if there isn’t ceramic coating on top of the PPF, you can use as others have said a light clay on the PPF… just be careful around the edges of the PPF.

I've never heard of this. As someone else mentioned, PPF will not adhere.

Thanks guys. I tried it on the hood and it was fine. Just a light synthetic claybar.

Obsessed garage coated below and on top of PPF on his new GT3 touring I believe. Seems stupid as hell to me but it seems to stick
