hey guys,
Just picked up a 2018 M3 (first M car --> super pumped). Don't even want to consider having it hibernate over the winter so I need to get some proper shoes. Which tires do you guys recommend for our range of winter driving conditions in Vancouver? Also, RFT or not? I'm partial to an 18x8 square setup. Thanks and I look forward to your feedback.

Vancouver gets like no snow though... Most you get is some slush and lots and lots of rain. I'd be more worried about black ice if the temp does drop too low, but then again it's Vancouver, it almost never happens. I think it snowed twice in the 10 years that I lived there.
I am thinking of Pirelli Winter Sottozero 3 or Bridgestone Blizzak when the times comes for myself now that I'm in Ontario...... |

Living on a hill I need to be able to get home from a wet/slushy road in the city to packed snow in my neighbourhood. I only have to worry about this for about a month tops but I would still like to be prepared.

When that happens in Vancouver, all hell breaks lose and everyone calls in sick. Even the skytrain stops working lol. But yeah, so far I heard good things on Pirelli Winter Sottozero 3 or Bridgestone Blizzak

Alright, now I believe you that you lived here for 10 years. Quite ridiculous I agree!
...but, with most people not on proper snow tires and with limited snow driving experience, when it hits, it feels like a suicide mission trying to get home. Thanks for the suggestion!

I had Sottozeros last year, couldn't make the climb up a short hill. Go hakapelitta or xice. I have xice on my 3er and it's amazing.
Also text me 778-628-6269 I run a group of 60 F8x owners in Vancouver if you'd like to join. |

Nokian Hakkapeliitta is the best in the market for the winter tire.
Although it would be better to take a cab or sky train those couple snowy mornings, plus risking that someone without winter tires will hit your car.
