More basic background info about our DDC tech you'll find in our old blog post: https://blog-int.kwautomotive.net/te...-coilover-kit/
When you install an KW DDC Plug&Play suspension you connect our struts and dampers with the OEM software (Plug&Play). If you install an KW DDC ECU suspension (like for M1 Coupé) you also need to install the KW Electronic Control Unit, KW DDC wires, KW DDC WiFi-Box to dial your setup via the APP. An adaptive damper is not the same as an conventional KW V3, KW CS 2/3-way. KW V3 info in General: |

You can't use a Clubsport Coding on a adaptive suspension, because a CS and DDC or the adaptive OEM EDC dampers are a complete different world. |

Could you please elaborate why does standard OEM EDC suspension work well with all kinds of coding, but the KW DDC would not? I assume KW DDC can be installed on Competition Package (ZCP) cars, right? In that case it would by definition be controlled by another type of coding. What about CS cars, can it be installed there? Some real technical insights would be helpful instead of "because its a different world" (whatever that means) |

Our KW Clubsport kits are using a complete different valve technology like our DDC coiloverkits.
KW CS 3-way M2 infotainment When you install a DDC p&p kit for M3/M4 (F8x) platform the DDC valve will be rigged / controlled from the BMW OEM software. @ Lojs I was expecting you where asking about the difference between KW CS (Clubsport) and KW DDC Coilovers not for the BMW M4 Competition Sport ;-) My mistake Our V1, V2, V3 and DDC aren't developed for using our KW Unibal Topmounts because this coilover kits with progressive springs are developed for sporty driving on roads. The main focus of KW Competition and KW Clubsport Kits are racing on racetracks. Here we use linear racing springs and topmounts. Last edited by Brickologic; 09-15-2017 at 02:32 AM.. |

I have an X6M and it is very comfortable. When I drive the M4, I want performance. I find the ClubSport 3 ways very streetable. The faster you drive, the smoother they are. In fact at speed, they are more comfortable than stock. But not when driving really slow. Then you feel how stiff they are. Good thing, I drive fast most of the time : ) Prior to doing the suspension, I upgraded all the software. M4 GTS Diff, and DCT and Steering, and I also did the Comp Pack EDC. Steering is a huge improvement, worth the cost alone. Gear changes are far smoother. No clunking into reverse. The car was instantly more refined, felt way more like the ZCP. In Efficiency, and Sport the EDC were nice with the upgraded ZCP software. However in SPORT + it went from skippy and harsch to bouncy. I never used to use it as it was way to harsh before. Then after the upgrade, I still never used it, as it felt like a poggo stick. It's gone altogether now with the KW EDC delete, and I like just having one Setting with KW CS 3-way....FAST!
