BM3 e30 ots

Has anyone ran this tune? Thinking about giving it a try.. but not sure if it'll be faster then my current custom 91 tune. Has anyone dyno'd BM3 E30 ots? Also how many gallons would that be..? Any info would be appreciated!

About to do this myself too actually, from what I learned so far it'll be 5.5 gallons of e85 and the rest 91. Aiming for E35 or so, there's lots of apps that you can download. Buy a tester kit and test the ethanol before hand

Im just curious to know if it'll even be faster then my current custom 91 tune.. since its a ots.
FYI. I dyno'd 517whp on 91. Do you know what e30 would roughly dyno..?

517WHP on 91 is impressive.

I would skip e30 and go straight to e85 stage 2+. That is ~600WHP

Yea i think i will do that.. i just have a free bm3 map so thought maybe it'd be cool to try the e30 but seems like alot of hassle to only gain 15 more whp or so.. for the full e85 tune how much should u run down the fuel too..? 5~10 miles? Then full e?

I'm still on 91 OTS BM3 stage 2 will be going E85 soon though. From what my friend told me, run it below 0 miles.

What the hell.. so basically run outta gas...? I ran e85 on my e92 m3 and I usually ran it down to 5miles then filled up..

E30 OTS map should make more torque.

RE: how much should you run down the fuel

From carythelabelguy

"To put it simply, you’ll take your tank down to “——” on the Estimated Distance to Empty gauge on your dashboard. Once you go past “0” on the EDE, you’ll see “——” indicated on the gauge. This means you’ve reached your “reserve tank”, which is typically ~1 gallon of fuel left in the tank. The fuel gauge itself isn’t accurate and therefore can’t be trusted to measure actual fuel level. The only time we really know exactly how much fuel is in the tank is around the “——” indicator on the EDE. Once at “——”, you would completely fill-up the fuel tank with E85 and then flash to the appropriate E85 custom calibration. Once fully converted to E85, you can fill-up whenever you’d like, at any remaining fuel level."

Yep I live in San Jose. I was actually going to wait til the weather gets cooler to get dyno pulls in. Did you do baseline pulls with them too? Interesting how a wrap shop has a dyno haha

I run MHD and change maps all the time and run them. I find the 91 stage 2 map gives me 7.3 100-200 Stage 2+ dips me under 7 at 6.9.
E30 OTS stage 2 gets me 6.8 and stage 2+ E30 6.6.
So the difference in the run between you boys will be interesting.
I would say e30 tune will pull although not huge.
Im also thinking of going custom but unsure if it will make a big difference. Was thinking E40 so when i fill up i just go 1/2 E85 & 1/2 pump.
