Thank you for the feedback. Please disregard all the negative feedback. People choose different modifications for different reasons. I find it hard that people just can't respect that.

I have stage two and I feel about 50 lbs torque increase. It does work. Every one knows, if you want max power gains, Dinan is not for you.

Really. Doesnt need to be proven.

Ah, appreciate the ops opinion,... not being negative but i think everyone should have a full picture of any modification. No one should "disregard" anything.

This thread refutes the op's claims - big time.

Who knows, maybe it's true, maybe it isn't. But this is real world data, on a dyno. Not a forum members opinion who might be experiencing a placebo effect after spending thousands of dollars.

Some people just can't respect that.

So I think there are many reliable tunes. Dinan being one of them, Active another. I have a good friend with an M3 with Stage 2 Dinan (exhaust and all) and I have an M4 vert with BMS intakes, AA midpipe, and AA tune. It is not even a match. My car pulls away a little off the line and a noticeable amount 3rd - 5th gear. Just my 2 cents. Dinan is near $2,500 for just the tune, I got ALL of my parts and installed for just a little more than that. FYI

Clearly the op made his decision and he is happy with it and he is just giving HIS opinions. That is all. I am not trying to start arguments.

No arguments. It's certainly allright to give opinions. Just take it with a grain of salt without any hard evidence or fact.

What is different about this compared to a JB1? Is it connecting to more sensors?

To be fair, your initial post was very shilly, particularly that last line about "safe and reliable". You don't know it's reliable, unless you're referring to the warranty, but I assume that was the "safe" portion. Dyno numbers don't really reflect your impressions, so you should forgive people for less than enthusiastic responses.

Dinan if you want more power and not have to worry about the possibility of having to pay to have an issues fixed.

Other flash tune or pnp tune if you want to have cheap power but also have the thought always in the back of your mind that you could be out of pocket for any repairs or damage to the car.

Some like to gamble some don't. Some have the thousands to throw at Dinan some want a pnp tune to make some more power. Just because you have a 70k car doesn't mean you have infinite funds. Also there is a reason why all these other tune companies that offer NO warranty or any kind of guarantee are still in business.

I truly enjoyed my Dinan tuned Stage 3 M4
I have everyone Dinan option aside from the exhaust, I purchased the M performance / Akrapovic setup.
I did all my upgrades in stages starting at the stage 1 tune and all I can say is wow ! All the way thru stage 3 my M4 was noticeably faster and more responsive. I've only had 1 issue and my factory intercooler cracked on the inside which allowed coolant to get into 2 cylinders and create a misfire.
Dinan backed me up without a doubt and offered to cover my repair bill since this was uncommon at the time, I got covered by my local dealer due to BMW Germany giving input that there are numerous reports of stock intercoolers cracking on stock cars. Anyways... Dinan is great. Awesome products and I cant praise them enough with my 2nd Dinan M car experience with them. M4 is sold now but I hear the new owner is enjoying it just as much
