Old post, but I think, from what I've read, the F8x might in fact, be built to last. Very different M car.

No I’m not. I’m actually looking at it and you made a very interesting point about suspension which skipped my mind in coverage. BMW warranty doesn’t cover suspension but aftermarket ones like Fidelity do. Because of this, I might lean towards Fidelity instead of BMW.

Just signed the papers on a '15 M4 today! Previous toy was a W204 C63 with lth and tune. Imagine this will feel "slow" in comparison, but getting older, and wiser haha. That AMG was like smashing yourself in the head with a ball peen hammer and flushing hundred dollar bills down the toilet trying to keep tires on the back :-)
I opted for a 2 year extended warranty for this one. Clearly, not knowing the history of the vehicle played a huge part, but never having owned a BMW before as well. Figure I have a couple summers of driving to sort out if it's going to be a peach, or a lemon! |
