Labor cost?

I'm in the market for new mid pipes & downpipes, VSRF is the brand I'm interested in.
what is the average cost for labor on the install of these parts if I'm purchasing it myself?
1 tuner shop quoted me for $11-$1200, I think this is to much or is it rite.

i forget what I paid for downpipes and exhaust install on my evo but it was less than 300, maybe 200.

You are never gonna find it that low. Book time is with hours for DPs if I recall. That's way over. I'd say a good shop who knows the tricks would say 4-5 hours Would be reasonable. Others will chime in. Multiply that by hourly shop rates $125-200/hr here in so Cal.

I agree that $1200 is WAY too much unless there is a lot of fabrication and welding that needs to be done.

My buddy is a bmw tech he did my dps and kwhas for 250.00 it was so cheap I gave him 300.

A "buddy" is much different than a service where you have no association with them besides business. You can't compare mates rates to an actual company.

Im in Norcal so hourly rates are 100+ minimum. My quote from a very reputable shop was 450 for downpipes + full exhaust.

1200 is absurdly high. Look elsewhere and for a bmw/euro specialty shop if you can.

My downpipes were installed in less than an hour. It's very easy - don't even need to open the hood to do it.

I charge $350 the VSRF require no fab work and install is direct .
