Thank you mate, you know it sometimes take time as it is a trial and error process.

regarding to blades, I had the exact dilemma but unfortunately you won't be able to find it as it is "Shadow Chrome" one from what I can see in your dash trim. So sides will not match. You can try to color code them but I personally did not like mines. At the end I end up having the whole piece, including that shadow chrome bit in carbon.

However it is now one of the pieces that look overcarboned to me. so I am planning to have it retrimmed in something like this but with M4 writing with yellow shade behind.

You can then do all the blades in the dash and door cards in carbon.

However doing that you need to put back your original leather door handles( which look nicer imo) so there would not be over carbon.

Lol just thinking of it I think I have spent most of the time on the door cards

What seat brackets and sliders did you use? That setup looks amazing.

Thanks! I used OEM BMW electric sliders from a F3x/F8x sedan (used, off eBay) and Brey Kraus seat mounts designed for the Nogaro seats and OEM sliders (manual or electric).

I also used the bracket below to mount the stock seat belt in the OEM configuration like on the stock seats. It also serves a dual purpose as a mounting point for a set of Schroth Quick Fit Pro harnesses for when I take my car to the track.

I wish I had something to offer this absolutely amazing thread currently, but I don't think my coco mats are exactly unique lol.

There's some great creativity and thoughtful work in here

Incredible work by deli333! If I saw a list of all the changes done, I would expect to see something where an obvious stopping point was bypassed and it morphed into something way too overdone. But it looks incredible! I am so impressed with your workmanship. That has to be one of the coolest transformations I have seen. Thank you so much for sharing it.

Thank you mate, I am still changing some bits, hopefully in 1-2 months time it will be finished and I will write a detailed post about the work done. In addition exterior of the car is also resprayed from austin to speed yellow. It is more like an entire renovation project.

I agree that it is too overdone but like I have said the more pieces you retrim the more you start to see the plastic parts that look odd among carbon and leather. lower parts of dash, obd ports were looking weird, otherwise I would not touch. But all I can say is that the interior feels like lambo/ferrari class.

next things to be done.

- Yellow seat backs crack and squeak, these will be retrimmed to black leather. Then seats will be smoothered.
- Dash vent trim, upper side will be like in CS but with M4 and yellow backing
- Center controller carbon trim - not sure what to do about here, might try leather?
- de-froster vents - carbon
- headliner light button surrounds carbon ( how do you call this lol )
- headliner will be laser cut from the middle with yellow backing like in the rear shelf.
- steering wheel comb -> carbon or leather
- steering wheel back - > carbon or leather
- another style floor mats ( thanks to my friend who don't mind trying weird and different things for me ) ( his instagram if you guys ever need : https://www.instagram.com/cobraauto_mask/ )

It’s never overdone if you love what you’re doing to you car!

Big fan of Speed Yellow (and British Racing Green) so can’t wait to see your whole project! Best of luck and I, for one, would love to see the whole step-by-step process when you tackle the respray. Perhaps a whole new thread? Cheers!

yeah full dash is retrimmed. In addition to normal leather dash we also trimmed lower dash, upper dash, sides, even the plastic vent infront of the window is leather.

I did not do dash leathering, it is truely hardcore job even for a professional.

the person who did the stiching and difficult parts ( he uses routes and hides seamlines inside the routes so it is smoother than factory)
