I don't really know if its out yet, but I did see a new C-Class in Korea last weekend. I was actually blown away because I thought they weren't out yet.

Needless to say it looked great. Certainly better than the pictures portray.

Yep they are out (the standard version, that is). A dealer in Ontario has some as well.

whatttttt no wayyyyyy

i really want to see it.

i placed a deposit at a dealership for the W205 C63

This wait is going to be brutal. Personally, I think its going to be worth it. Ive had 2 335is. One was a N54 and one was a N55. The N54 always gave me problems and i thought things were going to change with the N55. Nope still had issues with the car.

Kinda of pushed me away from getting a M. I love the sportiness of the BMW and was always a BMW guy. The new C class is just amazing. The interior is beyond amazing. Its so classy. Plus with the right mods (suspension , wheels, Amg Racing Seats, Amg racing steering wheel, cosmetic mods, and FOB) its going to have that sporty feeling to it too.

Congratulations! The W204 C63 (particularly the LCI model) was one of AMG's greatest achievements.

All indications point toward the W205 C63 being more luxurious (interior-wise and tech-wise), more dynamic (200+ lbs lighter), and faster (476 horsepower and 480-95 lb-ft of torque for the standard car; 510 horsepower and 480-95 lb-ft for the "S" model).

FBO + Tune W205 C63 should do over 525 WHP easily.

Considering the W204 C63's (Current gens) are trapping 125+ MPH, Im so curious to see what the W205's can do.

The M156 in the C63 is a gem though. One of the all time greats.

What does a C400 have to do with the C63? The only thing that drive will you tell is if you like the interior and the layout of the controls and in that case you really don't need a drive to tell you that. Two completely different cars with two completely different target audiences.

wow.. thx for educating me. had no freaking idea.

i can only test drive whats available at this point. and i know c63 will be much better car overall, so if i like c400, things can only get better. also most interior trims and exterior trims are similar, and just wanted to feel n touch in person, so i have good idea.
if i put deposit on c63, and i dont somehow like the car after test drive i can always get my deposit refunded. just want to check out all the praises from reviews regardIng stereo n interior quality.

Cool. just wanted to make sure you weren't basing your decision on buying the C63 off of how the C400 drives. I would never buy a M3 based on how the F30 335i drives.

W205 C63 Wagon/Estate on the 'ring.

Sounds pretty angry. Nice downshift burbles/pops @ 00:30-00:37.

W205 C63 interior spy shots:

Notice how the labels for the controls are just stickers at this point in testing:

These are the "standard" W205 C63 seats. They will have traditional headrests. They will also have extendable/adjustable thigh supports for the first time. In comparison to the standard, non-AMG W205 seats, these seats have portions of alcantara, a different style of perforation, contrast stitching, and more aggressive bolstering.

Black alcantara inserts will also be optional/available (as the black alcantara has been seen on other W205 C63 test mules):

There will also be an option for "one-piece" Recaro seats with "integrated" head rests.

Hmm...from the those pics it seems like a let down. I was pumped after seeing the new C-class interior it blew me away. Not feeling the fake carbon fiber dials, or the seat design. Paying extra for one piece seats that should be standard is annoying. This isn't a big saloon E63, the C63 should have one piece seats like the last generation.

IMHO, the letdown here is the quality of the photos. They're terrible.

This is also a test mule that has been beat to crap. Many of the logos are still camouflaged, and there are stickers serving as place-savers for the controls. Plus, because the car is off, you can't see any of the digital features incorporated into the gauges. Nor can you see the HUD.

I think the standard seats will be awesome. While integrated headrests look cool, they can make it awkward to wear a helmet during HPDEs.

Here is another W205 C63 interior spy shot featuring all-black seats and dark wood trim (instead of aluminum):

So I guess they are sticking with the column shifter for the C63?

Sidenote aside from fanboys, a good friend owns a modded C63 AMG (2010 year I think) and we decided to give it a friendly race against a R8 v10. That car is no shabby car in terms of STRAIGHT LINE SPEED.

The R8 is a v10 6MT car and with me driving it, barely edged out the C63 up to 130. We both backed off after that but my assumption is the R8 will pull ahead past 150+ but we were not going to risk it.

Our other friend is taking delivery of his new M3 soon so we plan to do a re-match after his car is broken in but regardless, the M3 will have its hands full as the C63 is no slouch for sure in a drag race.

Track, all depends on driver skill but I remember the last issue of C&D's best driver's car and the surprise car was the Mercedes only trailing the 991 P-car.

Correct.

This is a leaked "official" photo of the new W205 C63:

It's getting close to reveal time.

Sounds like fun.

Also, the '12+ C63s are a tiny bit faster than the pre-LCI C63s (2008-10). The MCT transmission on the LCI cars shifts faster and the cars suffer less power loss.

Better shot of the new steering wheel included below.

There will also be an option for a steering wheel with "alcantara" on the sides (instead of perforated leather).
