Not lately, especially for the F8X platform...

I mean, I hate certain things about my two cars, but I am still biased towards BMW and Mercedes if given the choice over say an Audi or similar competitor. |

The lap times speak for themselves. A convincing and well deserved victory for the embattled M4

Um.... since when does the Mercedes have poor build quality. Every single other review always says the merc has one of the nicest cabins in its class and sometimes even better than higher class luxury cars. I can't take this review seriously if they're going to try and say the Mercedes doesn't have a fabulous interior. Especially compared to the BMW. |

The same with the E Class. Take a look at the new wagon comparison video of Carwow (5 series, E Class, Volvo V90), they've said the same. |

2) The QV was released 3 years after the F8x. I would hope it would win some comparisons, at least initially. It's definitely not "hands down" dominating anything, except for reports of random errors and reliability issues.

Gutted that they left the Alfa out, that is the real competition. The RS5 and C63S are too heavy and less track focused IMO.

Moral of the story, Audis are for wankers. The rs3 is overhyped and over priced as well.

For whatever reason, I just can't stand column shifters....and it's enough of a pet-peeve that it prevents me from looking at any vehicles with one. It keeps me from even looking at the C63S Coupe (prefer my M4 anyway), and it moved me from looking at a Ram Power Wagon 2500 and instead into a Ford Raptor. Patrick |

I'm in BMWs and Benzes all day long at work and I have always preferred the simpler styling of BMW interiors, they tend to age better to my eye and everything you touch (seats, steering wheel, iDrive knob, center console buttons, etc.) all feel just right to me. Audi interiors look great, especially now, but their buttons feel so incredibly cheap and clicky. Aside from the button feel, the interior quality and fit & finish is excellent. |
