2-3 is a reasonable shop quote , they go by what the book says it'll take

Saw ARM raised prices on their site, capitalizing on demand or raw material increase or both?

Those are cheap ($), I like that they have flex joints! The entire exhaust system is pretty agile...I have been able to move things around a lot to get everything to sit just right. You can also always use exhaust/heat wrap to insulate metal to metal contact noises.

2-3 hours seems reasonable and about how long I expect it to take me for the first time. I don't see how it can be done in less than hour. 1-2 hours once familiar seems about right.

I recently installed the resonated catless downpipes with flex joints. My car is rattling. Installer tried moving around heat shield but nothing

Did they check the gaskets?

Hey Mike. Which gaskets are you referring to? I was told they come with rubber seals but they would melt anyways due to the heat

If you are getting a rattling sound from the downpipe and you check the install and confirm it's not hitting any of the car components, the next place I check is the V-band clamps and gaskets

People mention that they've had rattling issues with the long downpipe where it connects to the mid pipe, with the slip section being to small. Some have just gotten some exhaust tape and give that section a little wrap to make it thicker.

the video is not showing for me but I'm glad they figure out the issue. Should be an easy fix now

Dipshits forgot to put the flange bracket back in. This is what pushes the gaskets into the flared exhaust flange holes to make a good seal. You can see on my pic where the gaskets were.

I'm halfway done installing my ARMs...

Pix installed.
No problems.
Minor issue routing the lower o2 sensor wires so they didn't touch and hum.

I took a gamble and coated in black CeraKote 2KF before installing.

Tight fit against side wall and tight O2 fitment, looks great.

Update:
The small resonators do a medium job at reducing rasp, but in Sport modes at heavy pedal it's still there's above 3.5K. It can't be helped. I have the huge AA Signature cat-alltheway-back single 3.5in bus exhaust, and the ARM pipes sound gets amplified through there. More "gruuuunt" down low, and the exhaust rumble/thunder is louder too. Now I've got that Cheby Big Block V8 sound off the line...but then she wickedly screams Ricey Inline 6. Will try to get a sound clip.

Update2: lots of things in the car rattle or buzz now. I guess catless needs a couple resonators along the way. Maybe better with a single mid and the resonated extensions too...

So im still getting rattling noise. Already have been to two different well known shops here in NY. I emailed ARM and they have had good communication with me. They said they are sending me new flange and o ring. I already spent money twice, I have quickjacks at home, would this be hard to insert and do myself? Do I have to drop the exhaust for this, or can I just loosen the downpipe screws and try to fit it in.

Pictures of what they sent me should be the fix to the problem

You need to drop the exhaust to get the flange and donut in. You should do new gaskets on both sides on every disassembly.

A regular O-ring? What material is that O-ring?
If regular it will deteriorate in a few heat cycles unless is Viton (up to 400*) or Buna-N (up to 250*). To avoid using O-ring, I'm going to Cerakote Glacier Black C-7600 dp's prior to install hoping those extra few mils tightens the flange fit.
