To burn, or not to burn...
My lease is up late next winter (early March), and I still have my winter tires/wheels on now. This is my secondary car which I have driven 14 miles in the last 3 weeks, and we are in the midst of this appocoliptal state; what would you do with tires that have 70% left if you were in this situation?

ahhh, this is easy: absolutely save your winter set so it's available for next winter. this will ensure that next winter there will be zero snow in the Northeast, and i will return to this thread to make sure you get credit for the extended driving season.

Regardless, I'll probably hang onto the wheels until I figure out what car I'm replacing the F80 with. If they're usable, I'll powder coat them and find a tire I like more. The Sottozeros are great, 100% confidence in ice and snow at moderate speeds. I just wish they performed a little bit better in the wet, lose all confidence there. Again, I got these second hand originally (then replaced the rears to match), so they wouldn't have been my first choice, it was just a good deal from a fellow member.

I suppose burning them up was the wrong phrasing, I'm not one to do a standing burnout for no reason, agree that would be a waste... More keeping it sideways around every corner on vacant/closed roads on the way to all these essential activities...
