Yeah I have destroyed a CF lip before, got the insurance money and bought something else. I have a set of messed up DPE in the garage for a e92 that will cost 1000$ to fix and a still new in box set of BBS CH r . I haven't even had a E92 for 3 years . Wish I could trade the CHr for a set that fit the F80 since they have never been used, but I doubt it. CHr are a classy look

Holy crap, you valet your baby? I never valet .. and if I have to, I bring a beater.. Otherwise, they will curb the crap out of your rims.

Or if you do valet, then a $60-80 tip is >>>> the potential damage on your rims, and you will have the valets ready to blow you.. At which point, you can just have them not move the car at all from where you put it.

HRE is cool too, I really think ADV1 has nice looking wheels but read some horror stories now that others have brought it to my attention. I hear HRE support is second to none.

Dude! Use those wheels on the F8X. You don't need to get rid of them.

How do you know the offsets are even close?

I think im going back to a lipped wheel. Had 2 sets of concave on my e90 but i think the lips will give the f80 a nasty stance. Probably HRE cause i wont lie im a fanboy of their wheels. Loved the p40sc i had on the e90 and their service was amazing.

I don't, BUT the fact that F8X's have been seen with E9X 220M's is a strong indication that they are. Even then, you could run a spacer to achieve the intended look (..as nearly every modded E9X on this forum has done). It's not like the OEM offsets of the E9X didn't warrant a spacer.

What do you mean? You could run E90 ///M wheels on an E92 ///M, and vice versa. I even ran BBS LM's from an E46 ///M3 on my E92 (..with a 12mm and 15mm spacer). BBS only makes limited offsets anyway.

Seen here:

I haven't checked. I can browse the F32 forums real quick and find out.

Even still, nearly every E9X ///M3 on this forum was running between a 12mm - 15mm spacer, especially on LM's. OEM offsets are just too conservative, and I don't see BMW making them aggressive all of a sudden. Look how inset the OEM F8X rear wheel is on the new car. It looks worse that a stock E9X M3.

I really wish they were not 6-7k. I used to panic driving through small openings. Luckily no marks at all!

I might cheap out on inexpensive wheels and use the savings on an akra

Three piece wheels the outer dish is usually $300, so at least if you rash the rim $300 instead of 2000$ for a new monoblock rim

Yeah, I understood what you wrote. So many people have no idea though and word of "horror stories," is not enough. They need 17 pages of m3post to truly understand.

RACs

Wish Ralph & Chuck were still in the wheel business. My RAC RG63 Monolites are strong & light. 10,000 lb forged in Japan by same producer Champion uses. I facilitated the group buy on these back in 2009 on this forum. Hopefully the offset is close enough I can reuse these.
