M3 Crash Protection

I thought the secondary damage to the rear was pretty interesting ... if I'm seeing it right, it was a front-end accident as a decent enough speed to deform the rear (i.e., protection around the passenger compartment). He could've been rear-ended as well, but to me looks like maybe secondary damage ...

If so, pretty interesting and something to look for even in a slow speed hit:

That's a lot of airbags deployed, I bet the impact was more than just a fender bender.

Great pics, makes me feel safer about my car. Just hope I never have to see it in person.

+1 ..blanket forts were the best...my brother and i used clothes pins but they were crappy back then and came off to easily!

Guy drives around La Jolla/San Diego and he just got this, ED even. He still has his euro plates on. And yes, he's the one in the picture. The guy that took the pic is part of BMW CCA San Diego.

Something hit the side. That is not a buckle due to forces from the frontal impact. If it was that severe, the doors would have been out of alignment.
