New F80 M3 owner, coming from F22 M235i (NY)

My first M3, a wonderful addition to our family forces me to get into a 4 door (not a bad reason to upgrade) Former owner of an E90 335i and an F22 M235i, which I tracked for 15 days, roughly 60 sessions at Watkins Glen. Which I managed to run a 2:20 in an essentially stock M235i. Once I was better driver I opted for a Square Setup which worked well on THAT car.

M3 Specs:
Alpine/Sakhir/Carbon
6spd
Exec
Black 437s
Carbon Roof
Sunshade Delete

I am addicted to tracking these cars so I cannot wait for spring to take this to WGI. Planning for camber plates upfront, 18” Staggered Setup, and am looking into pad options. I was a little disappointed in tire sizes in the RS4s and RE-71s as they do not have ideal sizes it seems for this car. I am unsure if running something as aggressive as a NT01 in the BMW club as a student will work.

Here are some pictures of my M3, former M235i, and 335i

Feel free to follow me on Instagram @swaffleking looking forward to meeting some new people with this car!!

Glad to see a fellow 2018 M series without ZCP. I thought I'm the only one who didn't get that package

I am also in NY, and traded in my m235i last week for a 2018 m3. Enjoy your new M!

Another NY 15 M235 > 18 M3 here. Went alpine/blk zcp and blk 666m. One thing I miss is lower lumbar support that the comp pack seats dont offer. These are amazing cars.

Would like to check out Watkins Glen next season. Are you going to run 513m wheels or doing aftermarket 18”? I’m looking to do a similar setup.

Anyway, congratulations and welcome to the club!

Aftermarket 18”. What dealer did you get yours at? I was looking at an Alpine/Black zcp before I picked up this one.

Orange County (OC) BMW in Monroe-Woodbury. I lucked out and got the 552 icon headlights without ordering zec pack.

What brand wheels are you considering? I know a lot of people are running 18” apex with pretty aggressive offsets for track duty

I'm also another 15 m235i -> 18 m3.

Guess there's quite a few of us.

What a difference. Coming from the "fake M" to a real M car.

I needed a four door, if I didn’t I think I would have went M2, surprised so many went F80, I assume it’s just because the rebates, incentives, etc were so good in November and December it was a no brainer!

I am probably going to go with apex unless I find a used set of something else that will fit the bill.

Apex are my favorite cast/flow-form wheel. I think the EC-7 is their only 18” option, ARC-8 won’t clear caliper unless you go 19” I believe.

Also interested in a used or good price on forged BBS, OZ, or 513m.
