Shorter muffler hangers?

I was just wondering, does anyone sell shorter muffler hangers for our cars? I recently installed a new system and it sits a bit too low for my liking. I adjusted the connections between the muffler and the midpipe to bring the tips as much up as possible but itís still a bit too low. Any solutions?

Thanks

Which system and what makes it too low.... under carriage clearance or rear tip location in reference to the diffuser? Could be a combination of multiple things including install alignment incorrect via tilt. if installed correctly and you want a custom height you might get the banger rods shortened via a muffler shop

AA includes an adjustable height rear-mid bracket with the Signature Kit. Maybe that would help? Send a pic of where you need the fix.

I have a similar issue with the dinan x pipe and dinan exhaust. I want to get the tips higher and closer to the diffuser. The 2 hangers make the tips sit low. Tried loosening everything up and adjusting it but its the hangers. I need like 1/2"shorter for a perfect fit.

Let us know if you find anything. Fyi, these hangers are the same as E46 3 series.

Here's a pic of the adjustable rear-midpipe bracket that came with my full 3.5in AA Signature Kit. This piece adjusts up and down, and side to side. It was the key part to tweak my fit. Looks easy for any decent exhaust shop to fabricate up. I hope it helps.

Thanks for the info and photos. Iím really just talking about the muffler hangers. The midpipe sits fine but I think the muffler doesnít sit close enough to the bumper.
Itís the Akra muffler paired with AA midpipe.
Iím splitting hairs here but I would love it for them to sit a big higher. I tried adjusting the piping but thatís as high as it will go. Next reasonable solution is shortening the hangers.

Power flex has a good selection of different sizes and "hanger" lengths

Hey Tommy, I have the same setup as you. Akra slip on with AA single mid and I used an E12 Torx Socket and adjusted the tips so they angle slightly higher than I had them before and it looks perfect now. You may want to give it a try as it's a much simpler solution than messing with hangers.

Wow we may have a winner! It never occurred to me that the tips themselves could be adjusted up. I got under the car and did just that and it worked like a charm. Seriously thank you for the suggestion. Love it!!!

On the flipside I did order some polyurethane hangers from an E46 and even though I may not need them now maybe they'll have some sort of a benefit and will prevent the exhaust from moving too much.

May be a dumb question here but could you put the hangers into one of these other "slots" to raise/lower tips? I don't really understand why there is an additional "loop" under where the stock location is.

Glad the method worked for you. For the E46 polyurethane hangers; are they stronger/stiffer than the standard ones we have on our cars? I notice that most aftermarket mufflers I see on F8X's shake quite a bit while driving..
