what do you guys do when ordering?
Thinking about this and considering logistics... Get it sent directly to your paint/body/wrap shop? I'd get aluminum (Sunveer) and then have it wrapped. But then what do you guys do with the OE hood? It doesn't fit in the car I would have to assume heavily |

I just did mine. Got it from Horizon Motorsport. Fitment is pretty good. Small varrying gap on driverside, but with fender adjustment, looks really good. Small overfills on vent plastic, but overall looks good. I'm happy.

I theorize that all the aluminum hoods are coming from the same factory in China or Taiwan and there's no reason to go with any particular distributor except the absolute cheapest since none of them will actually take any responsibility for the product. My experience with 1NE as a distributor has just been garbage.

i agree but they make them aluminum because its easier to get "perfect" where as the CF replicas always have pretty shitty fitment. I guess it's just cheaper for everyone.

Here’s a test fit of my suvneer hood. In this photo I haven’t adjusted the bumper or fenders. I basically moved my oem hardware onto this hood and bolted it down making only adjustment to the hood latches height. Fitment seems pretty good considering almost no adjustments. The only thing I was disappointed in was the hood vent trim piece. Fitment looked pretty poor. The shape is slightly off at the tips. Not sure what the oem one looks like or if others can share their pics? One thing I noticed during this test fit was the aluminum GTS hood was noticeably lighter than the oem one. I didn’t weigh it but I would guess 10-15% lighter. It took very little effort to lift the GTS one vs oem.

Hey guys I chose the Suvneer hood so if anyone needs any help I can probably get you a deal on the hood. Anyway, I was on the fence and I like many wanted CF model only. I wasn’t going to spend $7K on OEM. Now that that’s out of the way, I saw many locals with CF replica hoof from various vendors and regardless of body shop or vendor the fitment didn’t look great. So I went with aluminum and I was very happy with the end result. I’ll be posting a video shortly to my YouTube channel that should really help the community. Let me know if you need any other angles, but so far in love with fitment and look of the GTS hood. Don’t mind the front lip area. I got my M Performance lip painted gloss black, the matte black wasn’t working for me and ceramic coating my CF splitters. So I’ll post updated pics once my front end is complete!

I actually bought the oem one and tried to fit it, it fits worse actually. I'd suggest you have the bodyshop test fit the vent, then modify the vent opening area on the hood before paint.

The OEM vent fits like a glove on my aluminum GTS hood. The hood opening came a little rough in some areas especially the corners so it’s helpful to have it sanded smooth before paint.

^ That looks amazing, what brand makes that and any adjustments to make it fit?

Suvneer aluminum GTS hood. I have to make a few more adjustments to try to close up the gap maybe ~1mm more. On a white car the gap stands out more. Fitment is 8.5/10 in my opinion.
