RW Carbon Review

Installed a bunch of RW carbon parts on my 2018 F80 including CS Front Lip, Side Skirts, 3-D Rear Diffuser, and Front Splitters. I read some complaints about poor quality, poor fitment... but I couldn't have been happier. Carbon quality is top notch, not a single defect. Fitment was perfect on everything. I'm really impressed considering this was half the price of most other vendors.

The only item I wasn't happy with was the carbon DCT shift knob. It fits well, but some of the edges have a rough finish that looks bad.

I chose not to use any double sided sticky tape because it's a bitch to get off if I ever needed to, plus I was concerned it would create a gap. I just used screws every 6-12" and it's rock solid.

I can't recommend RW Carbon enough.

Does their CS lip install with brackets or include them like the OEM one?

I couldn't be happier with my RW spoiler. I'll definitely be going back for more bits soon. My buddy just took his E90 over there for a spoiler and diffuser. Their quality and fitment is excellent and I just don't see the point in paying twice to three times as much from the 'other' guys. It just doesn't make sense.

Let us know how the clear coat holds up after a year. That's where I've seen the majority of complaints.

I will but even Mode Carbon (at twice the price) only has a 1 year warranty on clear coat. Hmmm...

most of the reputable companies who make their carbon products in-house have a 1 year warranty on the clear coat.

RW Carbon has absolutely 0 warranty and they do not a manufacturer the products. They are merely the middle man who resell the designs that anyone can buy on aliexpress, ebay, etc directly from China. What they offer is an inspection or QA check, if you will, on the products before the end customer receives it.

I've seen many of these Chinese carbon fiber products have their clear coats fail in a very short amount of time.

If and when it starts peeling or becoming discolored, I'll be the first to post about it. I've only had my trunk spoiler on for about a month.

Beats me but i'm sure this is where companies like Mode, EAS, IND etc. chime in

If you live in the EU, try hitting up Jordy from JHL parts in the Netherlands. He’s an M-Flight member and owns a small company that offers carbon fiber parts for Ms. I haven’t personally bought from him, but he was responsive when I had questions.

Edit: Are those square Avant Gardes? Would love more info on specs.

Clear coat on these carbon fiber products are one in the same. I had an authentic vorsteiner diffuser that I bought when it was first released and over time began to haze as well. This was after having major fitment issues, which RW carbon hasn't had much of in my experience.

At the end of the day, this is inevitable with aftermarket carbon fiber products.
