Blackout Kidney Grill Emblem
Trying to black out the M4 emblem on the drivers side grill.
Are there aftermarket options? how is the emblem attached? I think I saw a post or two say it was attached with double sided tape. I wanted to make sure before I started prying it. Thank you |

I tried blacking it out but I ruined it, hard to do without ruining the 3 color stripes but maybe you'll have a softer touch.
Yes it's just on there will glue or tape, sharp knife you can cut through the glue and it comes off pretty easy.

I was considering a light sand and spraypaint if I could take the emblems off. Thanks for the info. |

I'm wanting to do this as well. Interested to see how your method works out.

This would be my number 1 option, but I couldnt find any. The only emblem searches resulted in trunk emblems.
Seems a bit harder to wrap something so small with so many curves |

You have to buy (1) grille w/the blacked out - not just the badge itself. Not the cheapest but it's all about the details. To me it's no different than replacing the roundel's to get rid of the chrome circle. |

I just plastidipped mine but havent put it back on yet, I will post pics when I do. It's not hard to paint you just have to take the emblem off and tape off the stripes.
