Hey all - thinking of taking a drive to Bear mountain area in the next week or so. Do you know if Perkins Memorial drive up to the top of the mountain is open?

It has been closed every weekend I have passed there since Covid 19 restrictions were put in place. You can't even exit the Palisades at exit 19 at all.

Heading upstate around noon. North of Harriman though, lots of nice twisties in sullivan county.

If we happen to pass each other I'm in a MG M3 with a bike on the roof.

I always find roads around Harriman fun to drive. There's also High Point NJ and Hawks Nest in NY.

Need to find more roads - I keep finding myself in the same places. I hear Dutchess County NY has some very nice roads

There's so much more. Did prob a 100 mile loop up yonder. 370 miles from LI and back. High point and hawks nest are to go to spots for many...too busy imo. I used to live about 30 mins from the hawks nest, so I was always there on my bike. Keep going past the hawks nest and Rt 97 is nice all the way up to Hancock.

No Revving at any of our stops.
Any other questions?
I'm not you tour guide.

I was interested in the group until I read the rules I pass. Better groups to be driving with then some authoritative wannabes.

Thanks! I'm going to have to pick your brain on the roads you use. Agree that the roads I am on are too busy unless it's a 5AM in the morning thing - that gets old very soon.

Really depends on where you live and how much you want to drive. Makes for a nice day trip with some great roads and awesome views if you like in touch country/rural areas.

I'm in Hudson county, really don't mind driving 3-4 hours and making it a day trip. My wife is really fond of the car too, so we usually make it a day out. Would welcome your suggestions. If you prefer, can move this over to direct message so as not to hijack the thread

Noticed the name Zee32. Did you come from a 300zx? My first car was an old 1994 Z in beautiful condition.
