I agree, not the prettiest X3, especially due to the plastic bumpers of the x-Line look, but also not very offensive either. We've had ours since my son's 323i had been totaled and it was difficult to find another BMW in good condition from this era. Found it shockingly on Cargurus from a little old lady who was the original owner and even put all her repairs on a flash drive and excel sheet and dealership maintenance since 2005! It was too rare of a find to pass up on. Our first BMW X-Vehicle in the family and 3 years and 30k miles later its been a great addition and my son loves it. I also think its the best driving X3 of all. Might not have the best grip or fastest engine, but its based on the E46 and practically a raised E46 Touring which means beautiful hydraulic steering, the lovely and incredibly smooth and balanced, M54 naturally aspirated 3.0L Inline-6, and even the 5-Speed auto is shockingly good by 2005 standards. Driving it is surprisingly delightful and fun. Also its much smaller than the new X3, pretty much the size of a modern X1. |

I agree, one of the very few G-chassis cars that thankfully have not been touched by Dukec and also drive nicely, although the LCI taillights suck, but the rest is very nice. The wife and I were very close to getting an X3 30i some time back but the seats were sadly not very comfortable so she ended up with the GLC.

My car was Week 40, pushed to 47 and built, and has been sitting in QC for over 1.5 months. The wait has been 5 months total since I got my production number, with no end in sight. The car should've been delivered 1-2 months ago. That thread and parent subforum are filled with similar stories. The spigot got shut off for certain models in Q4. |

G01 was the first BMW I bought new, and my wife and I absolutely love it. Sapphire over Tartufo is such an awesome combo too.

I wonder if BMW did not push “inferior/incomplete” products on the market to take advantage of the strong demand and to make sales numbers. The gentleman that bought my 640M winter kit was a SA for a local BMW dealer and he was telling me how 2021 cars were delivered with many omitted features/options with with no intention to retrofit. And customers being told to take it with a small discount or leave it. On the other hand, when we took delivery of our RS6, our SA (who is also the sales manager) told us Audi does not play that game and delivers complete cars (save for the 2nd key).

Yep - it’s a 13-page thread of people with delayed G8x orders. Many, like myself, placed orders as far back as the summer and had our build weeks pushed back multiple times. The issue now is that cars are “built”, but not released due to lack of parts. Figuratively, the progress bar is more or less at 99.9% complete. Cars are stuck in “Quality Check” status or at VPC for several weeks waiting for those final components.

I went with another G82 in part because of the much faster turnarounds compared to other options. There haven’t been many good driving days here in the PNW in recent weeks, so I’m now OK with the car essentially being stored for the winter by BMW as a worst case. Had I known back in August, I probably would’ve kept my G82 6MT for a couple more months. Oh well. |

It's perfection, I think it's absolute perfection. Yes of course the newer models are amazing, but the 991 GT3 I wouldn't change a single thing about it. Miami Blue, the dream car/color.
