Eric Ho or Pamela at New Century.

It also always depends on what you're going in for. If it's scheduled maintenance/service you should be fine almost anywhere. If something is malfunctioning/broken and you have that area modded then it's best to de-mod it and then take it in... it's just common sense.

Good luck!

I recently scheduled oil service for my X6M with Claudia at McKenna BMW but got passed on to a different SA named Billy Rubio. I have absolutely no complaints about the SA, but I'd love to know why the tech needed to put 15 miles on my car for an oil change, dropping my average MPGs from 14.6 to 8.6. With all the modified cars they get into their service bay, he decided to take my "mom car" out for a joyride? : Mckenna BMW was my go to for over 10 years, but the service has really gone downhill over the past few years.

My only wish if they joyride it is that they total it and get me a brand new car plus some pocket cash for my troubles.

this should be a good indicator that a dashcam is needed. It doesn't even have to be the best of the best. You can find cheap dashcams that work.

I check my dashcams every time I take my car in for service. It records everything. From my personal experience Crevier has been solid from looking through my footage.

Also helped me a lot when some dumbass T-boned my car after failing to stop or look out of a neighborhood exit going 40+ mph....

That's only if they don't disconnect it. They did that to my F80 before so I wouldn't doubt this happening while it's there.

Honestly surprised that they would disconnect it. I've never had any of my dash cams disconnected during a service.

Whenever I took my car into service at McKenna, they would ALWAYS disconnect it. At New Century they leave it alone.

Ok, so who is the go to at this point? I sent an email to Alfonso - no response

Anyone have Claudia's email?

I also don't see Claudia or Alfonso listed on the McKenna site anymore: https://www.mckennabmw.com/general-m...iple-staff.htm

Second update: Guess Alfonso is at South Bay BMW: https://www.southbaybmw.com/dealership/staff.htm

I also never had someone disconnect my dash cam. If they did, I would honestly never take my car back there again. There is literally no reason to disconnect it unless they had something to hide.

Alfonso at South Bay continues to be a good service rep for me. Big Lakers fan.

aquinones@southbaybmw.com

Tell him a guy who calls him Playoff P referred you. He will know what time it is.
