Funniest thread....also shows how divided this country is.....

Rich(er) versus Rich

Old versus young

conservative versus liberal.

I would report the kid to his dad not the police, because he is probably ruining the old man's car (I know we did when we were 16 and driving at night, though my 6,000 lb Chrysler Newport 3 speed couldn't lay rubber).

Posting house pictures taken from the street is not a privacy issue if not done for pecuniary gain, if you can see from street you can take a picture.

I can't wait till the kid hits one of the stone walls.....

FWIW, I don't even live in MURICA so not sure why OP had the need to post this in the general section where some of us international folk lurk. It's not like I care what some kid in Connecticut is doing with his car.

I should take a break from the Internet. Also, can we close this thread, please?

Well the connection is not where you live. It is what you drive. Assuming you are here, good chance you drive an F series M3. The kid is burning rubber with an F series M3. So you are connected after all.

Of course if ever you do not enjoy a thread on this or any other forum... simply don't read it. Obviously there is a bunch of friendly banter going on, as EVERYONE has cabin fever. Stay healthy wherever you are.

I drive mine!

The air cooled cars (1998 and older) were made in small numbers and are sought after. Folks tend to attempt to keep the miles down on the low mile examples that are left.

In 1999 all things changed with Porsche, and you don't see values of the newer cars appreciating like the old cars. Porsche makes beautiful cars, but the new ones aren't nearly as special as the older hand built examples. The newest model is hot, until Porsche number next comes out, and then values plummet.

I bought my '95 last year with 17,000 miles on it. The old guy that I bought it from told me his biggest regret was that he never drove it. I put 3,500 miles on it in the last 12 months. It isn't my daily driver and it does not go out in the winter, but I drive that thing every chance I get. I'm never selling it so resale value does not matter, and the kid that is going to inherit it is already driving it lol. If you enjoy driving, at some point you owe it to yourself to get some seat time in a vintage Porsche.

Judging from that one picture, it seems like a remote wooded area.

I'm guilty of doing this.. in fact, we all are. If you tell us you "save it for the track " YOU ARE FULL OF SHIT!!...

Noone spends the money on an M model for the aesthetic bumpers.

Literally probably one of the few cars that isnt enough to be a status symbol but way too fast and insane to drive normally.

Porsche guys can get away with buying it for the looks and status, i.e. same with all the exotics.

If you buy a M car it looks like any goddamn 3 series to the general public so you know you only have 1 choice, that is to drive it hard.

The F series M3's and M4's look fantastic on the road. I think it every time I see another one on the road. I also find they look great in just about every color.

The M cars are insane to drive. Exactly why those cars and the brain of a young guy driving it should not mix.

Owen has driven the M, however only with ME in the passenger seat. Never alone.... ever. I couldn't care less about the car, but I like the kid intact.

The Porsche is a completely different story. It isn't fast with about 295hp, but if feels awesome at 2950 pounds. It is slow compared to the M, but at 6000 rpm in second and third gear it makes the best sound, and you 'feel' like you are flying when you are going 60. I did not buy the car for status.... but I am amazed at the amount of respect and attention that 26 year old car gets.

When I was 17 I passed an unmarked in my WS6 going about 130. He caught me, and chewed my ass for about 10 minutes before we headed to a pay phone so he could call my parents and sent me on my way. I'd have rather got a ticket... or a night in jail vs what I got when I got home. Anyway, there's been a few threads lately about adults driving their cars less than intelligently and actually crashing, and instead of dressing down the people who have actually crashed we have a bunch of people yelling at clouds about some kid who isn't on the forum, and is apparently better at handling the car than the big boys. Fuck this quarantine brings out the bitchy in people.

I've seen the video of him doing this burnout. There was absolutely no one near him. The road was clear. So I mean if it doesn't harm anyone then no harm done. Everyone is bored and if you have the space to have some fun then why not. You haven't tried snow drifting in an empty parking lot before? I'd be more mad at the people who blatantly drive crazy on the highway driving with one hand on the steering wheel and one hand recording.

First off, we’re not talking about ONE burnout. There are probably 50 now.

Second, multiple people in the neighborhood have seen him emerging from the clouds of white smoke but have been unable to get a plate number. Some driving down the road in the other direction. One mom pushing a stroller.

It is not one time. It is not ok.

Near homes on a public road and now the road looks like a race track drag strip

So you would have no problem if this was on your street near your house. Assuming you have kids, a mortgage and you like peace and quite in your neighborhood.
