Last weekend I did some back to back with a current C63s and my 6MT E92 M3.

I already had driven the C63s on the street and the track a few years ago.

The C63s feels much more like a small M5 than a M3 competitor. I think that's the best way to put it. It leans heavily into the 'luxury car' category that Ms have not played in.

On Sunday I gave the C63s guy a spin in the CS because he hadn't been in it and he was really surprised at how violent it feels in short gears around town. He kept asking what tune I had on it.

These look pretty sweet in the Pilot Challenge series!

Something like that may be the next experience/driving school I do. I've been checking out some different ones like the link here. When things get somewhat back to normal, I'm going to book one of them, they look like a blast.

Would be a blast for sure. Haven't even let my mind go toward rallying. Assume similar to MN, MI has thousands of miles of ORV trails. probably endless rally driving potential. Might never return home.

I own both a c63s and recently purchased a f80 m3. Both are great cars in their own way. Right now it's not a fair comparison, because the C63s is well modded and has a significant power advantage, but that will change soon.

I'm expecting the G8X M3 M4 to drive like a small M5 than like your F80 CS.

Once they lose the v8 so will their fan base. Their v8 is a long term engine that is out for a while now and now with stupid emissions and crap. Hopefully they have a limited production vehicle with the v8 or it's all downhill from there. Amg v8 sounds killer, but the c63s is a heavy also, I feel it's heavier than my F83.

I believe at least in the near term the AMG V8 bi-turbo will continue to be used on their higher end AMG's like like the E63S. That said, we are seeing the beginning of the end for ICE vehicles, so I don't see AMG losing their fanbase as there will be no other choice. By around 2030, likely all new models will be PHEV or BEV cars.

If you look at numerous runs - strictly speaking drag racing - the m4 ZCP killed the c63s by a large margin.. repeatedly. Check out some videos online. The m’s are also quite a bit more raw from my understanding, so the amg may require less thinking when cornering…. But you can have a lot of fun with the tail, drifting, etc. in the m’s.. not sure about the amg.
