AWE F8X M3/M4 Exhaust Suite: SwitchPath™, Track Edition, and CF Tips
Now that the M3/M4 system is officially available, first, a huge thanks to the many who have taken and run with this (Here’s one. Here’s another. Here’s another!). We thought it might be helpful to get all of the info into one post. Here is a healthy serving of the AWE F8X M3/M4 Exhaust Suite!
Highlights:
A bit more about AWE SwitchPath™ Technology: AWE SwitchPath™ technology responds to the exhaust valve commands sent from your BMW ECU, dependent on your throttle input and M-Sport button setting. This means that the AWE F8X M3/M4 SwitchPath™ Exhaust will transform from a sophisticated “Touring” note to an aggressive “Track” note with the touch of the M-Sport button or throttle position. In other words, exhaust volume is civil when you want it, and quite disobedient when you’re in the mood. The volume game. From civil to disobedient: We’ve spent the majority of our R&D time perfecting the AWE M3/M4 Exhaust Suite to provide options for virtually every taste: Resonated SwitchPath™ Exhaust with your stock downpipes: This is the most sophisticated of the lot, while still announcing that you’ve arrived. Aggressive when you want it, yet refined at part throttle and highway speeds. This exhaust brings out the natural tone of the S55 motor without compromising neighborhood relations. Resonated SwitchPath™ Exhaust with your aftermarket downpipes: Your volume is already turned up with your aftermarket downpipes, but you may want a bit more sophistication and refinement without losing the aggressive yell of the twin turbo engine. This is the system that makes de-catted downpipes a bit more suitable for daily usage. Non-Resonated SwitchPath™ Exhaust with your stock downpipes: This is an aggressive set up, with sharper edges. It announces your entry while still maintaining trademark AWE sophistication. We recommend this combination for those looking for more full throttle growl from their S55, with a slightly higher part-throttle / highway cruising volume. Non-Resonated SwitchPath™ Exhaust with your aftermarket downpipes: If you have to ask, this isn’t your system. The AWE Track Edition Exhaust for the F8X M3/M4 utilizes all of the precision engineering found within the popular SwitchPath™ Exhaust, minus the valves and rear muffler. What’s left? Straight-through, uninterrupted flow and tone. Thanks to the precision-engineered integrated X-pipe up front, unwanted rasp typically found in other aftermarket F8X exhausts is subdued, leaving what would be classified as the “valve open” soundtrack from the SwitchPath™ Exhaust to sing loud and clear… just 100% of the time. The Track Edition Exhaust retains the option of coming complete with either Resonated or Non-Resonated mid pipes, enabling a bit of fine tuning to desired tastes. Note: The Track Edition is a loud system, and cannot be returned for sound preference under the 30 day satisfaction guarantee! Tip Options: All tip options include the AWE logo, and double walling to ensure a mirror finish even under hard usage. All tips are individually adjustable, allowing depth into the bumper to be set according to personal taste.

Ordered mine on Wednesday. Non resonated with 102mm Diamond Black tips. Looking forward to pair it with ER downpipes.

for not making over-produced videos without all the unnecessary bling and making them so that you can actually here the exhaust unlike some of the other manufacturers out there

Thank you! We want you to hear what you are going to get, and once you do, the background music is your choice. That said, we think our exhausts produce a soundtrack you'll want to listen to all by themselves.
