Car and Driver said 3rd fastest car to 60 they have tested with only the Porsche 918 and the Huracsn Performante.

It’s about to be the 4th as the new Porsche 992 Turbo S will be in the 2.1 to 60 range.

You do realise that it's almost impossible to get close to 2 seconds to 60 in a regular production car with street tires. There you go again with the 2.1 second time. The taycan couldn't do it and neither will the new turbo S. Closer to 2.5 than 2.1 is my guess. But then again, I'm not a professional race car driver neither do I have cool friends that own multiple dealerships who have access to all the stats.

But . . . the 2.1 to 60 for the 992 Turbo S actually came from a guy I know that drove one a monthish ago, not me speculating. He was invited overseas to drive it.

He actually told me it was a 2.0 to 2.1 car and he is not easily impressed. He has a 918 and an RS.

Again, you are showing a post referencing 0-60 times which has already been disproven.

Still waiting for the 2 second 0-60 as claimed by your inside sources.

Very, very fast car no matter how you slice it. And on a street tire too! Every other car there is on a much more track worthy tire, and is either much lighter (600LT, Huracan Evo) and/or more powerful (Pista, 720S, SVJ). I'd love to see what it can do on a Trofeo R. Maybe 1:46?

What did the M8Competition do? 1:55, and on what tires? Crazy to think that it is upwards of 10 second slower on a lap >2 min.

Brother, that is pretty sad if you are still hung up on that one and that is the highlight of your existence to disprove me on the 2.1 to 60 time.

As I said, the 2.1 was an estimate reported to me by someone who drove it over seas many months back.

Has Car and Driver or anyone tested it yet with the 1 ft rollout? Didn't C&D get 2.2 with 918 when Porsche claimed 2.8 and Hammond tested it is 2.6?

I have not kept track on C&D testing and etc. as mine is already ordered and I am perfectly happy whether it runs 2.1 or 2.5 to 60.

I thought the above videos were pretty cool given the weight to hp ratios and the 992 TTS even beat the McLaren 720 in braking.

This may be a little difficult for you to follow, but I will give it go.

I just Googled and found that Motor Trend and Road and Track clocked the McLaren 720 to 60 in 2.5 seconds.

If you watch the above video of the drag race between the 992 Turbo S and the McLaren 720, the 992 Turbo S absolutely smokes the 720 off the line and creates a gap that could be easily be .3 or more seconds to 60.

Close enough. Car and Driver got 2.2 to 60mph in the 992 Turbo S.

Pretty dang close to my buddies estimate of 2.0 to 2.1 when he drove it over seas almost a year ago now.
