Nice. How much is this going to cost if someone wants the same work done to their M3 at your shop?

Going for reliable 800 whp for now, never been a fan of stressing components. Not a fan of having trouble with traction either.

What is the comp ratio used for this project may I ask ? My last M3 NA motor utilized a set of 12.75:1 CPs...w the cams made I made some radical good power in conjunction w the rest of the headwork, PTG diff and a few Dozen other components

Cool post !
Staying stock compression. I've always used CP for any project, Pankl would be ideal but kind of scared to even ask for pricing.

Are you upgrading the crank hub?

Any concerns with piston "slap" going with Forged pistons?

This should be exciting. Looking forward to the results. Good luck!!

If these mods can improve the engine note to where it's semi decent, it'd be worth it no matter where the horsepower number came in at.

CP, Wiseco and a few other use a cam barrel design to eliminate piston slap.

I've never seen any F8X with crank hub issues at our shop but that doesn't mean it's not out there. My 15 M3 with 40k miles (20k+ on stage 2 and ~10k on Pures) had no issues. M4 had no issues either at 15k miles but I'm still going to do something since the motor is out anyways. Either doing Max Psi keyed or going to use brand new crank hub parts and pin it to the crank, just depends on if Max Psi's solution is out before I'm ready to put the motor back in.

Nope not worried about slap with CP as chetrickerman said.

Got some new goodies...

ARP Hardware (may have found a solution (not custom) on the head studs), if not then I'll have no choice but to go custom.

OEM BMW Motorsport Mirrors - have a few extra sets of these from my Z4 GT3 build, making some custom mounts to fit these on!

I have been looking for a set of ARP head and main studs that will work on the S55. Please let us know if those work

I want to see how the mirrors look on the Car. I don't think anyone has upgraded those yet.

We're making some custom mounts out of CF as well. I have a few extra sets from the Z4 GT3 build - might make a few extra ones if anyone's interested.

Since I know what the E90 oem mirror cost I'm afraid it will be the same. But shoot me a pm the what price you're looking for as I'm definitely interested
