If you need to only display the plate while parked to avoid tickets like I do NY, this is what I've come up with and it works great.
Take a magnet and attach the inside of tow hook cover, then tape another magnet to the back of your plate. Tape the entire back of the plate and edges of the license plate to protect your car. Super easy attach and detach, just be sure to use a strong magnet. Looks very clean as well.

Moving to the US next month (car goes on boat Tuesday). I've ordered the low mount version. Will be interesting to see how it works in conjunction with the lightweight front lip...may have to do a bit of modifications (maybe couple more passthrough holes in the sto n sho mount plate for the lip screws).

Just ordered the top mount version. Re-painting my front bumper this summer and will have them fill in the existing licence plate holes.

Thanks for the link! This is much cleaner.

Has anyone with XPEL and Opti-Coat on their front bumper tried the Sto N Sho?

Any opinions on whether the double-sided tape on XPEL (with OptiCoat) would work? Or given the paint protection, is drilling a better idea?

Thanks. Do you have XPEL (or similar) or only some kind of coating (OptiCoat, CQuartz, etc)?

Do you drive with it off or on most of the time? There's officers on my way to work each day so I pretty much have to drive 15 miles each morning with this on 5 days a week.

This solution is great because you can easily display the plate while parked then remove it. I had purchased a US Millworks tow hook holder when I got the car, but never installed it. This is much less expensive, looks better and easier to remove and reinstall. I found it $10 less expensive on eBay than directly from Big Mike's Performance Parts.

I used the high mount version (SNS 67). Installation was super simple; does require one small (1/8") hole at the top of the lower intake (unless you have great confidence in 3M automotive tape) that you will never see from normal angles if the unit is removed. Only thing I was not thrilled with is the backing plate does not support the full license plate, so I cut a piece of 1.5 mm carbon fiber sheet to back it up and pop riveted the whole thing together with a frame; very rigid.

Looks great and I finally have to throw one of these on. Was curious where you got the CF to reinforce the back as I'd like to do that as well. Also - could you post a pic of a side view - was curious how far from the bumper it is on the high mount version.

I have paint protection and the wrap doesn't go all the way back to the black grille, so actually the unit is small enough that it sits behind the wrap. PM if any one wants pics

I drive 90% of the time without the plate. When im traveling on highway for an long distance is when I install it. I do carry it in the trunk and if I get pulled over, I'll start by saying I just got the car washed and forgot to put it on.

A few things to say. First of all, I have been driving different variants of 911s since 1989 exclusively until I traded in my 2009 Turbo for a 2014 Cayman S. Impressions . . . The Cayman S was my favorite Porsche. It was awesome. Go figure. That said, once I test drove the M4, I was sold. After 3 days with the car, It has blown me away. My favorite car ever, bar none. And from a value perspective, it's an incredible bargain.

But now, back to the topic at hand, the front plate. I refuse to drill, and I have tried everything from tow hook mounts to the Skene mount (not bad at all) on my previous Porsches. Sto N Sho is hands down the GREATEST solution. ZERO drilling and totally solid (I chose the lower mount option, as there are 2). The plate can be installed or removed in under 3 seconds. I actually went back to the dealership this morning to show the techs. They were BLOWN AWAY. Sorry no pics I am old and busy, but I needed to pass this along.

I am new to the forum, new to the M family, so i just wanted to help out. Mods already are IND painted side markers and 35% tint all around. That will GROW! Love this car. Happy to be here!
Did you just use the 3M tape or are their screw holes down there you can connect to? Thanks.
I had one of these on my last car and it was great, that car had screw holes you could undo and screw the bracket into.

Regarding carbon fiber, just google "carbon fiber sheet" and you will find numerous vendors that sell small pieces of various types. Here is a side view of my high mount installation.

Bumping this because I got the lower mount one and its slick. Attached using the two stock mounting screws and didn't bother with the double sided tape just yet.

Your pic reminds me - I wish the lower grille was easily removable to make cleaning leaves and junk off the oil and transmission coolers! Seems like a no-brainer.
