Going to bump this old thread to see others with this issue and if anyone has any pictures of the fix. I have this exact noise on my 2020 m4cs only when the AC is on and would like to see if it's something I can do myself instead of dropping it off at the dealer

I still haven't fixed this issue. I think the diy is more involved on the s55 as you need to remove the charge cooler to get to the AC hose. Even then I'm not sure where exactly it is placed. I'm surprised more people don't have this problem. It's very noticeable on my car and makes me hesitant to push the car sometimes. I've even noticed a slight sound without the AC on. I'm not sure if this is a separate issue.

Is there any news?
My noise is under normal load and it sounds like connecting rod bearings. But only when the car is driven 1400 rpm to 2500 rpm. If the engine is turned up while stationary, there is no noise! The exhaust gaskets were replaced without success. I now hope that it may be due to the AC line. I ordered the weight. 2016 M4 non ZCP |

Reviving this thread from the grave. Anyone have a picture of the repair so we know where the additional weight was placed? My car has the same sound and I thought my engine was cooked.
Car only makes the noise when it's hot and been sitting under the sun. Never had the noise when taking car out of the garage. Any pictures or updates would be greatly appreciated.
