First things first, What a project to take on! Congrats and thank you for sharing this challenge with us all. It sounds great!

A question for you on the painting of the factory intercooler part. How did you do that? What did you seal up? Did you treat the metal and plastic the same as far as prep and application?

I've wanted to get mine anodized since getting the car and it's seemed almost impossible to separate the plastic from the metal and get it back together without failuires. If painting the entire thing will scratch my itch, I just may have to do it.

Thank you!! I am currently getting the drivability stuff tuned right now since that is what takes the longest. Making power is easy. I will likely keep it in the 700-800 whp range, but the turbo is capable of 1000+

Thank you. Once I start WOT tuning, I will post videos

For the intercooler, it's just truck bed liner from a rattle can. You won't be able to separate the plastic endtanks from the core without either cutting the tabs off, or a large press designed specifically for this task.

Really impressive work. 3 things I particularly like are the heat sink o2 sensor bungs, the integration of the oil drain tube with the factory piece, and the use of the factory wastegate actuator. Any possibility to create an inlet pipe connect to factory style airbox/airboxes to further enhance the oem look and incorporate the airmass meters?

Wow, great to see someone doing some real engineering and not just paying a tuner to do it. Bravo!

Thank you!

That im not sure of. I wanted to use a 4.5 inch intake, but there is no possible way to fit that large of diameter tube between the motor and frame. Plus, I love the clean look it currently has. Even in factory configuration, the MAF sensors are only there to verify the internal engine model is accurate.

I had kept up with your single turbo build on IG and was very intrigued. I didn't know until now that you had created a very detailed thread about your build. This is very impressive work and it's awesome to hear what it actually sounds like. Keep up the great work Chet.

Amazing! Looking forward to the final outcome. Just wanted to ask what problems occurred with the kratos without derailing your thread. Did they cover you under warranty for the faulty units?
Good luck with the build
