Macht Schnell EVC troubleshooting
I purchased a used Macht Schnell EVC. The device won't respond to the default input controls (BC Button for 2 seconds). I've validated that the wire taps are properly contacting exposed copper wire for the instructed wires. The EVC Data light is on when the vehicle is on. I'm also able to connect an OBD2 reader into the port as normally intended. I've also connected the EVC to my computer and checked for the latest firmware.
I'm not sure what other troubleshooting steps to try, since this is a straightforward installation. Does anyone have any advice? I've found another thread which went over a similar issue here. |

Good there's power. Is the data light solid on or flashing?
Any other CAN devices installed such as BMW Electronic Performance Steering Wheel?

Solid data light means no CAN activity is being read. Recheck connections.
