What can I expect to pay in Summer this year for a used 2015 M3 with DCT, Executive package, and Adaptive Suspension? Maybe throw lighting package on there too. Thinking either leasing the new 5 or getting a used M3.

I think we will see prices come down further by summer and lease returns start to hit the market. We are seeing sales between 50-55k. I'm hoping to pick one up in the high 40s by mid to late summer when my lease is up.

Can't wait for summer. Exactly what I have my eyes on. 15's for 50k. '13 E92 M3's are around 40-45k right now with low miles as a guide - I have had such a hard time finding one locally (6 sp) over the past 6 months I think I may wait a little for the F80 M3 to come down later this year.

There are 3 m3's for sale on the forum in the for sale section that are from 49-51k. There is a sakhir orange sedan that is on lease with 8 months left with a residual of 43k that the guy is trying to get 49500 for now. My guess is by fall they will be in mid 40's for 2015 with light options.

Here are 2 I found, Sakhir and YMB...

Both colors I want but just bought a house and extra money is going to furniture or I would have bought one of these cars already.

Interesting analaysis

So I reviewed the following thread on M3's used from the e90/e92/e93

http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthr...366319&page=32

If you start looking around page 30 of the 104 page thread you are in the range of mid to late 2011 (3 year old 2008 sales) you can see that prices were low 40k and at the end of the year people were even touching high 30k range in some sales... This is the year where lease returns start coming back in. My guess is we see a huge drop in resale over the next 6-12 months as inventories rise... Take a look at that thread and read up on some of the deals people were getting. This gives you a guess as to where 2015 prices may be headed by year end.

good find. Same logic I am thinking. Low 40's for 15 M3 (later this year) seems too good to be true since they are like mid 50's right now. But depreciation is a bitch!

It's more supply and demand. Lease returns will be pouring in and there will be a ton at auction or being cpo cars

Keep in mind that 2008 M3 msrp is a good 5-6k lower than 2015 F80, so 60% residual is not unreasonable

What do you mean 60 60% residual.. you are right about higher msrp which mean residual will be slightly higher (like 60% of an extra 6k) or 3600 higher..

Garage List
2015 BMW 335i  [0.00]
picking up an M4 this Saturday from a private seller. I feel like his pricing is a bit on the higher end but car seems to be well maintained and in very good shape.

6Yr 100k Warranty and 6yr 100k maintenance (will these both transfer over?)
Windshield and door ding protection
15k miles
Alpine white
CF ROOF
Black full leather
DCT
Executive package
Lighting package
Adaptive suspension
Drivers assistant plus
Carbon fiber interior
Black 437m with Michelin PSS

Seller is also throwing in these mods.

M performance black Front Grills
M performance Side Gills
M performance side skirts
M performance black M4 Badge
M performance Carbon Fiber handbrakeboot
M performance Carbon Fiber dct knob
M performance Carbon Fiber dct panel
M Performance Carbon Fiber Mirror
M performance Stainless Steel Pedal Covers

Seller wants 57k and I've agreed to it but I also want to make sure the warranty, maintenance plan and other protection can be transferred over.

Is this a 2015 or 2016? I have read that there are difference in model years for warranty transfers. If the warranty does transfer I think it is a fair price as long as it's in good condition.. call the dealer and give them the vin and they can tell you. I believe there is also a fee($200 to transfer cpo is what I paid on my wife's 528i) to transfer in your name.. call the dealer or BMW NA and make sure as I think you are paying a slightly higher price then market average because of warranty

It's a 2015. I was aware of the 200 transfer fee but just wanted to see if anyone here had done it before.
