Those who’ve purchased, is the manual mode quicker? Any changes in engine sound at all? (The standard box changes lead to some nice upshift cracks at certain revs).
Also interested in the ‘torque punch’ and whether it improves the driving experience. |

The most exciting option for me is i can raise shiftpoints I cant run dragy now because my rear tyres not grip anymore. My toyo are out. But i feel i can lower 0-100 from 3.7 to 3.5-3.6 |

Thanks. I’m more interested in shift speeds and if it’s a noticeable increase given the price for this software. I’m not a drag/roll racer, plus I also don’t drive in D when driving fast, so the benefits may be lost on me in that respect.
I know the M DCT isn’t like Porsche’s PDK, but I’d be swayed if it bridges the gap closer |

Manual mode, dsc off are the quickest shifts. I haven't had an opportunity to play with torque punch yet but likely next week. It's mentioned that torque punch and reduction may need to be adjusted together.

I really cannot see how the XHP stage 3 shift speed can be faster than the Thor GTS flash given clutches and hardware capabilities.
The key take home is that the clamping pressures are elevated to take up to 1100nm of torque which is very useful for aftermarket turbo set ups. Increased clamping pressures = banging into gears harder If you are sticking with stock turbos on e85, the THOR GTS flash is sufficient. |

This being said you cannot really say anything about comparing Thor and XHP shift speeds without trying both...and neither can I. In regards to the "increased clamping pressure = banging into gears harder" comment, this is incorrect as the torque reduction/torque punch settings are what affect that...the clutch pressures increasing are what affect the clutches "ability" to hold the torque on the clutches in gear. So to simply say a "Thor GTS flash is sufficient" is in my opinion, a load of hogwash. At the end of the day the Thor was right for you...for the rest of users, it will depend what they want.

Ordered mine yesterday, mhd flasher shipped today should arrive by Monday or Tuesday so I'll report back!
I just want faster shifts,I mean if you can feel it shifting faster that's good for quicker times as well! The extra clamping force was a no brainer for me get it now so I have it when I go bigger turbos. For now I'll enjoy the shift speed. Can someone explain what torque punch 🥊 is?

I wanna pick your brains here. I'm trying to understand what a "spongy" shift feels like. I always thought the DCT was sharp when it comes to shifting. At what point is it considered spongy?

How does it help improve traction when using launch control?
On the street I spin my wheels like there's no tomorrow. Can it change launch control mode so I can manually shift instead of allowing it to automatically shift? When I do manually shift, it will upshifts twice and mess up my quarter mile. How does it help traction control from cutting too much power with little slip? I have an M3 F80 at about 700 whp, and when I break traction on a straight line, even just a little, my car almost completely cuts power. Can it "balance" the wheel slip and power output better, so it doesn't fully cut power? Also, with regards to Kickdown Launch... When I may the gas pedal, it engaged at 4000 rpm. Can this allow me to drop it to 2500 or so, since there's minimal traction on the streets? I simply feel that other cars are better from the dig and really put down the power instead spinning too much. Spinnin ain't winnin! |

Hi
1. What are the perfect settings for 100% grip want to lose as little traction as possible when standing still !? 2. And does anyone have a good setting for 100-200? With regard to switching time, I want to drive the best possible time in D3! 3. What do you recommend? I am open and grateful for all suggestions and information. 4. Regarding launch control, which speed is best suited for this? 5. Sorry for my english translation with google. thank you |

stage 3 is too aggressive. especially the downshifts (watch out for the crank hub). Stage 2 for me is enough for me. I am with bm3 stage 1 91AKi. many options to customize.

Just downloaded and shot a quick how-to download and 1st impressions video. Will post in a week or so.
Important question though... Does anyone know if xHP overrides BM3 custom boost reduction for gears? I simply flashed OTS Map 2 of xHP, touched nothing else yet, and I just feel like my 1,2 gears are torque-ier than normal. I see that xHP does have their own option for torque reduction... how would that work if it's setup within bootmod3? Which one takes precedence?
