A sleek design and a cohesive package allround, which cannot be said of the 4 series coupe. May be, the prior rendering very close to the concept design has dampen this moment. Nevertheless, a beautiful car but for some reason doesn't look aggressive. Can't wait to see the inside. Hope it is a special; place.
A gentleman's race car!

Has the actual car been shown already at Pebble Beach? If so I am a bit surprised we did not get a video feed like with the E92 unveiling. I'm also a bit surprised that there haven't been personal pictures or videos posted somewhere.

That is a good looking CONCEPT. Much like the 4 series concept was beautiful as well. However, again, this is a concept.
The car is looking a LOT larger than the E92 predecessor and this is a major let down from BMW M. It's obvious that with the higher moniker, the car has become equally larger. It is highly unlikely the car will come with the front splitter and rear diffuser, as it is clearly not there on the test cars running around. These are are concept bits that will not make it to production, much like many of the desirable items that were showcased on drooled over from the 4 series concept didn't make it. As someone else has mentioned as well, it looks too close to its 4 series M-sport counterpart. The rear arches are not very pronounced. The rear end of the car is very much fast back now. I love the Debut color. I hope this is a standard option for the car, and I agree that BMW should bring back color to their M cars like back in the day. Colors like: -Hellrot -Dakar -Estoril -Laguna Seca -Misano Red -Technoviolet

Looks great! But I will say this....if the fender flares are not noticeably wider, I will not buy this car. If its anything like the M5 compared to the regular 5 then no sale for the dad. Petty...I know...but loves me some fender flares! Lol!

And I can almost guarantee that the CF bits will be available from the dealership. Apart from those extra CF bits, stripes on the roof, this is pretty much what you would be able to get from the show room, which I'm perfectly OK with. But I do agree that we need some vibrant colors available as standard and not having to go Individual

Looks great, but I mistook it for a M6 at first glance. It's those rims that got me. Very very curious to how the production model will look since I thought this was the production model.

The M3 on the other hand gets the massive wide fenders in the rear and the subtle front flares that the M4 has |

Funny.... when i look at the pics you just posted, my take away is the exact opposite: the M4 makes the 435i M-performance package look like dirt.

I love the variation of colors rendered by members here. Digging the black and dark grey.
Though I'm excited about new technology and can't wait to learn more about the performance of this new //M, I am not super impressed with the new body lines. I like the air curtain, side gills, etc. I think its an update for sure, but not exactly an 'upgrade' a new gen is supposed to represent. |

Now had they taken a cue from Audi, and lowered the price (or hell, stayed the same) of this car from the previous generation, I'd be more interested. But for 90k well equipped. Hahaha... |

This car is no E46. It definitely is no E92.
And that is fine with me. It looks FANTASTIC. Totally my opinion of course.

The tinted stripes on the roof are glorious. Nice touch, would be a cool option!

I'm so sick of this. You're going to announce a vehicle and all you bring our photos?

And no brand new car is winning championships because no brand new car is going racing yet. Simply sharing a name with an outgoing car means nothing, and not sharing a name with an outgoing car also means nothing. DTM? Sure the DTM of yore was a yard stick for production-based automobile racing. And it did help establish the E30s pedigree at least. But today's DTM car is an M3 in name only. Even the engine has nothing to do with an S65 despite having the same cylinder count and displacement. When they update the DTM car to F82 styling cues and put the M4 name on it, that won't do jack to establish its credentials. But someone is bound to take an actual F82x chassis with an S55-based engine under the hood and race it. We'll see what happens. I would not bet against the M. |
