BM3 Stg 2 OTS
Hey guys ....
So I just got the Stg2 ots map flashed and I'm not wowed by the power difference. I am currently running VRSF: dp, mp and cai and was honestly expecting to feel a lot more power or at least feel a huge difference (I could be wrong) 1st and 2nd just sound extremely loud but it's not till 3rd where I can feel a possible difference in torque. When I was stock - I felt to torque a lot more once letting off the gas I'm any gear at WOT. Anyway - if you don't mind chiming in and either something is wrong or it is what it is. Thanks in advanced Will |

Make sure torque reduction is set to off.
Make sure all other settings have a choice made. Re-flash and try. Power should be night and day difference, especially in Sp+.

There is a separate kind-of-bug on Custom E85 tunes where leaving no choice (OEM) on the HPFP causes sputter. You must choose Original because a Custom tune is not copied from OTS/OEM map.

That's it. For me, it was an insane performance jump from stock to stage 1 and I was running 20-10% boost reduction in 1-2 to help mitigate traction loss while on the stock tire setup.

There is very limited gain from stg 1 to stg 2...its like squeezing the juice out of the orange peel not the orange. If your expecting knock your socks off sex like with stock to stg 1 you better find a different girl
See chart: Stock estimated at crank HP per BMW 425/406 Stage 1 93: up to 22%HP / 23%TQ 518/499 Stage 2 93: up to 24%HP / 26%TQ 527/511 Stage 2 E30: up to 26%HP / 26%TQ 535/511 |

I suspect , if you're leaving traction control on, traction control is just kicking in for gears 1 and 2. unless you roll into throttle, you will likely just spin with traction control off. So if your testing by just subjective means, the car won't feel any faster until >60mph/100kph.
Do objective testing, ie 1/4 mile trap speed, 60-130mph times, and you'll likely see a huge difference. That said, I remember installing stage 1 and being blown away by how hard it pulls , but I always run TC OFF.

Burbles off Roar on Max cooling off Rev match (for stick) all 4 on Cold start off Cold start RPM OEM EWG disable no P-T Tmap OEM Man Tmap OEM Exhaust flaps open Vmax off Cat monitor OEM (I have cats, off if de-cat) HPFP OEM (pick Original for Paul/Cary E85) Boost by gear off (if you must, pick 20% for 1st gear, and 10% for 2nd gear) Flash and then "reset adaptations" once (only this time). Check codes, if none go warm up and then log a manual run of just 4th gear from 40-135mph. Then log a manual 3-4-5 pull, same speeds as above but shifting at exactly 6200RPM.

Can you please clarify why you recommend 20% for 1st, 10% for 2nd? (as opposed to 10% for 1st, 0% for 2nd and all higher gears, which is what I run)
