Gt4 I think. Either that or an x5 M. Still have a couple years to decide

Has anyone here owned/compared a 997 GT3 and a GTR? I know they're two completely different vehicles, but these are the two most intriguing to me that I hope to own in a few years.

My wife's X5 will need an upgrade first, wishing for X5M but might go new xDrive50i because $$$.
For my M3, thinking of 6th gen Camaro or Challenger, but so far I'm happy with it and don't feel the urge to switch. |

what is your next car after the f80/f82
So what is everyone thinking of getting for next cars after these beasts... Decision is pretty tough.. I am debating switching it up and starting a new project..but not sure what is really comparable out there...
Thoughts please

I've only had the M4 for 3 months, so not thinking too much about my next car. I am keeping an eye on Audi's RS models though, some nice looking cars coming soon. Planning on having kids in the next 2-3 years, so probably nothing as nice as I'm imagining

Probably a Panamera. It's hard for me to stomach how expensive a Porche is initially, and then how absurd the add-ons are. Still an amazing car so I'll just have to get over myself. Or some beater for the DD and a GT-R or Vette GS. Or the new Toyota when it comes out. The options are endless which is exciting. But I love my M3 and don't plan to do anything for another 4 years.

I'm getting a bit sick of the payment, so for me I'm going lower and definitely used. Possibly a Lexus ISF, IS350, something like that for a few years until I get the itch again then go back up.

same here but different. purchased a 435i before the M4 was available. fixed it up and then sold it with the plans to replace her with an M but after test driving a AMG and hearing the sounds... i was hooked. got into a w204 C63 instead.
fast forward 2 years since the 435, i now have this (though the love for Santorni Blue never went away):

I'm with you on the payment. Might pick up a corvette next year or so when I get the itch again as I miss having one.

I moved on as well.. Cheaper payment, cheaper insurance, better gas mileage. It's much slower in acceleration (torque) but it is so fun; happy to be back in a manual. My plan is to upgrade to a 991.2 C2 7mt from here. If not, I'll check out the new Supra, M4/M2 CS or even a 718 Cayman S/GTS.

I have a dream in my head of going from my f80 into a "911 a year" whereby I buy a used 911 and drive it for no more than a year with the intention of then selling and trying out another used 911 one year later of a different trim model or generation.
So for example: 2017: 1995 993 C2 2018: 2009 911 c4s 2019: 1973 RS clone (unlikely as I'd be driving this long distances) 2020: 1983 911sc 2021: 993 c4s etc. I'd probably take an investment account of $50k and keep it in rotating 911s with the aim of getting high quality used models and try to break even or make a slight gain each year, including after accounting for maintenance. In other words, at least keep up with inflation while trading to a different 911 each year. I think this would be an awesome project in life to enjoy and look back upon. My last comment for now: I genuinely don't feel I need to accelerate any faster than the f80 offers. The rush is so short lived already. So power is no longer a defining feature for me. |

No car after F80. I have my little exotic and with the F80, I'm set. Only that I'll lease a shitbox to keep miles down on the F80.

I am highly contemplating two cars... 911 Carrera 4S($130k built my way) or a Tesla P100D.
I really want a P100D! I am sold on the Bugatti-esq 2.5 second 0-60. So sick! Maybe in 2-3 years. I am jumping on the electric train Maybe they will have a P200D with a 1 second 0-60.

Yeah no I don't know. Probably a SUV or something smaller for fun. Probably like a GTI since VW is in such big trouble with sales I can probably knock off the price. Edit: That and I have always had a soft spot for VW cars since my first real car that is mine was a VW.
