In a tangentially related story, I get compliments on my X5M from the strangest people ...

My Moonstone M4 was peak compliment with people yellin compliments at me on the freeway, but it was from people you expect like bros & babes. I'd get chatted up at the gas station!

But this X5M ... geezus. It's always like weird older dudes you'd never expect. Yesterday I was at the gas station (V8s amiright??) and this guy gets out of a, had to be 80s, Ford Ranger. He looked like he'd just come off the North Slope. He gives me the stop & turn & look and says, "Niiiiicccceee truck dude".

At this point I'll take anything with a pair of boobs is what I'm tryna say.

People don't know enough about alopecia and thus joke about it, if you went through something a lot of people don't understand, would YOU want 250k (or however big the actual TV audience is) people watching a joke being made at your expense? Especially the recent news and all the crap between Will Smith and Jada? It is cringe as hell hearing a joke about something you don't know anything about and the fact that Chris Rock didn't end the joke with something serious to alleviate what he said about a disease he clearly doesn't know about is what I have a problem with.

alopecia isn't AIDS but it is something most don't understand and people who go through it has to deal with it. Making jokes about that will never sit right with me. Will's apology was weak but it is better than absolutely nothing.

Have you not seen any previous Oscars or other shows? The celebs get roasted ALL the time. In fact on this same show, one of the women hosts made a joke about Will and Jada marriage.
The joke Chris Rock made was pretty harmless compared to other things that have been said.

The fact that ppl actually cheered for Will after what he did is unbelievable and just shows that if you are a certain stature, rules don't apply.

I didn't even know there was an Oscar's until I realized that's where he slapped him and now every single news paper or website talks about it

We need to stop worshipping "celebrities" as a culture and actually cancel award shows. Problem solved.

Black really is the best color on these cars which is odd because it seemed like Black sold the worst out of all of them.

I honestly think I would have a far harder time letting go of my M3 if it was a M3 CS. Since I'm fairly certain the car would hold its value when the market corrects itself.

The F80/82 has such classic good looks. It looks fast sitting still. The lines follow through and carry your eyes from front to back and lead you to the wide hips. Its just a well thought out design. It also has the best implementation of the E36 M3 style mirrors to date. All other ones either are too bulky/clunky looking but the ones on the F8X are just right.

Agreed, but it seems MT F80s hold their value really well to.

Sold mine, great car but no regrets. It will forever have a place in my heart, but 6 years in a F80 and it's time for something different.

Not sure where you got that perception. BSM is in fact the most common colour for the F80, with more than 1 out of 6 F80 being black.

I didn't say they made the least amount of black ones, I said that they sold the worst. Meaning they sat on lots and were the least desirable compared to any other color (maybe except for ay) in my first hand experience buying and watching the market.

It’s like the only car (I can realistically afford) for which I wouldn’t change a single angle on it. Everything to me is just perfect on the F8x.

Agreed. Sounds great on e92 platform too. That car gets attention because of its sound. The F80 drivers who pass me on the track comment on how great it sounds 🤣
